I just got $100 as a late Xmas gift from my dad.
Time to buy a video card…
Well, I think I’m gonna hold off on the video card, probably until the spring or something. Having only PCI slots blows. For under $100, all I can get shitty Nvidia cards or a 9200/9250 Radeon. Nvidia MX is like GeForce 2’s, supposedly. I would just get a GeForce 4 4400 Ti if I had an AGP slot…
MX and FX aren’t bad, but for that much money, I want to at least be able to run some of the newest games. I’ll just save up for DX9 card, I guess.
Edit: Whoa, this 5600 FX Ultra card looks nice and it’s in my price range. And it’s a PCI card!!!
Edit 2: Fuck PCI cards, the performance blows. I’m just gonna have to buy a new motherboard to get games like Half-Life 2 running well.

See, I have a Celeron, and while it’s pretty decent, I’m almost certain it’s incompatible with PCI-E. Bah, I’m done posting about this on SRK. I’m gonna just buy a new mobo and a random Radeon card.
