Tetsu was the reason I stuck with fuerte even though he was all flash I liked watching his matches and based my playstyle off his videos. Thats prob the reason y I lose so much lol.
There’s not a single thing I learnt from TKD, not to say I didn’t admire him, but its not like he did anything that made me think ‘wow im going to do that too’. Tetsu was the first Fuerte player I got a bit excited about, then again he disappeared too.
Too bad TKD quit, he was in a league of his own imo. Gonna be interesting to see how he does with Balrog, it’s always been a theory of mine that if a really good fuerte player switched chars he’d be godlike, since playing fuerte takes so much more skill to play on equal level to any other character
I wonder what GiPie has to say about AE ELF.
Side note: I was at GameWorks tonight and played Vanilla SF4 for kicks and RSF is SO MUCH EASIER TO LAND than in Super (I hope RSF in AE is like Vanilla’s RSF). =D
TKD showed me VISUALLY that tortilla recovers faster than it looks. I liked his setups and that u1 can be used well.
Rey- with manny and Spab stating sudden stop is faster, and with extended clFP range rsf should be easier.
Edit: call me crazy but I’m getting a negative vibe. I think everyone seems to be kinda frazzled right now because we don’t have an “elite” or “pro” fuerte to show for. Let’s give it some time guys. Fuerte’s a good turtle too.

in one of the AE videos, you did far st.HP against Yang and then comboed into cr.MK. Was far st.HP always comboable into cr.MK or was there a change in stun to far st.HP or hitbox change to cr.MK (in AE)?

Thx Chuck - I guess in SF4 and SSF4 the hitbox was too small hence it rarely being ever if used.

Fuerte AE
Went 6-3 on my first go with AE. Lost my first match then had a pair of 3 fight win streaks. No alternate outfits/taunts kinda had me butthurt.
Losses were to:
Sakura (got dumb with her resets)
Fei Long (busy pressing buttons instead of waiting. Got caught with tick jab-dps too much)
T.Hawk (a rematch with a guy I wanted. But I was scared. Clearly my worst match, some guy asked what happened.)
Observations:
THawk: *ex air dive goes through fireballs. Both normal and ex have no height restriction?
Ultra 1 has insane range. Grabbed a Chun at the end of her dash.*
Ultra 2 looks faster.*
Had an easier time cross up splashing his ‘uppercut’

Ugh. I don’t know what to do. The tick jab poke fest to buffered dp kept getting me.
If you run back picadillo on his wake up he can get you with ex chicken wing. Has to be the first time I ever got hit during picadillo jump.

Didn’t get to fight one. His forward dash looks exploitably slow.*

Her fireball still doesn’t go full screen. It’ll dissipate just before it hits you.*
Her far kick can stuff crHK if it’s out first. *
Reset shenanigans? Ultra Spark that shit. Otherwise block.*
A player was walking up and spamming stand jabs. I poked her out with crLP.*

I feel I had my way with this guy. So I can’t say much. I was hardcore turtling before I played him, so I think I totally threw him off by going balls to wall. the off the wall Fajita went OVER ex bingo. I really didn’t let him do anything. Nothing else to report.
Juri
Her fireball kick portion is faster. She can stack them quickly. She seems better. That or I was just impressed with finally seeing a competent Juri.*
Blanka
Queso slapping blanka balls. I tried punishing ball with ultra 1 but I did it too fast and did ex guac. Which didn’t reach. Reversal run slide is FAR easier to use as a punish.
EDIT: YOU CAN CORPSE HOP BLANKA NOW!!! I hopped over him at least twice.
Ken
Flowchart Fever. Took him to splash mountain. Match ended with missed random u1, free taunt, throw KO. Next question.

Confirmed: the Juri/Sak player let me confirm that crLP xx run is still doable.
Chain crlp jab timing feels like clLP x3 combo.*
Run stop is fast as fuck.*
Tortilla… I had no issue reminding myself to not use it for escapes I kept it strictly for wakeup (poor Cody) and for a few jumpins. Yo TKD, Tortilla nerf ain’t that serious get back in the kitchen dammit.
I think the deadzone might be gone or at least not as bad. I think it happened but I was able to stop after a bit.
Run Slide is DEFINETLY better across the board. Some guy was asking if it was punishable or not. It really is faster. Both coming out AND recovering.
Hk guac recovery is slower but my beef is that is seems to go up slower. Same with mk guac, and Ex too. Lk guac is fine. But you can’t play the lk guac at close range to grab shenanigan anymore. Lk guac goes up higher now?
Can’t say much for other normals. Too busy with CrHK games. Which did the trick just fine.
Props to Kooper. I used his shenanigan today. Versus Juri I was doing my corpse hop slide silliness,and after blocked slide I’d throw. Late in the match I knock down corpse hop slide corpse hop slide gets blocked ULTRA SPARK. camera went straight from his view on the camera to the ultra animation.
But then I did meaty qbomb and got super’d to death. >_> oops.
a guy was asking me for my opinion on u2 damage nerf I said I didn’t care. After this KO we shared a laugh with him asking “I’m sure you miss that extra 50 damage now huh?” indeed.
Turtle Fuerte is alive and well. Three time out wins versus Blanka, Juri, and Sak.
Edit: some guy stated he appreciated my fuerte because I wasn’t a turtle (lol?) he corrected himself and said because I don’t spam splashes or just whore the okizeme game. Weird.

I’ll be going to play some AE later this week and i’ll be sure to get some wins to play some matches. (1st time was a fluke, wasn’t used to the new fuerte)

No one played Rufus when I was playing. Any and every match I have, after I lose I write it all down on my brain pad. so I wont miss or forget anything.
Edit: someone compared me to Juicebox Abel for being lively (I prefer listening to music while I play, keeps me lose)

Soooo! I was playing messing with akuma in training mode and i had my friends akuma doing ultra 1 and super but if i did super with fuerte (lk and mk versions) i wouldnt get grabbed … the Rh version of my super was stopped clean by both U1and his super … so im thinking lk and mk super may be invincible to throws . i gotta test more. i hope im not crazy lol well i think we all are a little but you know what i mean …
Also i was doing mk super through fireballs but the timing was pretty strict . can someone try to test and confirm or discuss if its usefull or just silly for a min. ?

So with Stop recovery being smaller I would assume cr.MK loop bacame easier?
Also would this allow other normals to combo in AE that don’t or only combo off of a counter hit in SUPER(ie, cr.MK to RSF, Fierce to cl.HK, far MK to cr.MK)?
Just remind me sunday evening or Monday morning, as well as how to make the situation occur so I can intentionally make it happen.

cr.mk->RSF on CH works already but im assuming it will be easier and im sure there will be a great handfull of rs-pressure on and off CH that will serve some vicious oppourtunitys to lay our opponents out before they know what DIDNT hit them yet lol
