lk guac still looks ok for meter build from full screen, but the EX Guac recovery is far more obvious then I thought.
YouTube - SSF4 AE Chinatown Fair Manny El Fuerte vs Chun - Manny vs Chun player. check how fast splash recovers. EX Guac Recovery.
crMP trading with legs… interesting. Run slide DEFINITELY recovers faster. Same for Tostada. EX Guac’s recovery is pretty obvious…

:50 never knew that cancelling a dash from focus attack would auto-correct. You focused from 2p side and did a back dash when Sim teleported behind you. I feel like I should have known this long ago…
- YouTube - SSF4 AE Chinatown Fair Spab Rog El Fuerte vs Brad Vega - Heres the vega that let me run
I saw :45 took it to the lab. ST misses El Fuerte completely as he recovers from Calamari slide… on normal launch EX on reversal hits. You were able to block non-reversal EX Scarlet Terror…

2:05 FA lowered hitbox to make Spire miss?
2:46 Looks like EX Guac can still escape SOME things. but it’s still a risk
End: Gotta love auto-correct =\

Anyway, KSK says that in exchange for loss of tortilla invincibility, his normal throws got better…how so?
I think he means it does more damage.
Hmmm more damage, or faster recovery? We’ll see. If anything I have a habit of throwing A LOT so we’ll see.
Interesting that they all feel Tortilla is really hurting Fuerte. Outside safe tortilla setups and the fact that you can’t last-second tortilla I still don’t see the big deal.
I’m surprised they’re not talking more about EX Guac not being able to escape now.
I think it’s safe to say that there’s really not too many good Fuerte players in Japan who can do rush type Fuerte instead of the safe Fuerte a la TKD school of thought that relies a lot on safe setups and runaway game.
I still wish they didn’t nerf EX Guac though - that thing was the best and a lot of times only solution Fuerte has against 50/50 mix-ups from the likes of Abel, Gief, Hawk, and Makoto.
Yeah. I prefer playing safe/runaway myself. You can still escape with it, Spab used it to do so on some occasions, But it has to be properly timed. But like Spab mentioned THawk can OS the shit out of it, and Akuma could already sweep for free on Demon Flip anyway.
I’d rather not be trying to use clMK to escape 50/50s since that doesn’t xx to run
In the last vid, the commentator said something about TKD dropping Fuerte because of the nerf to the leg throw. Is that true?
it has more recovery now, so its not really a good escape tool. it never really was tbh lol. they just made it more punishable
TKD’s main gripe was the loss of Tortilla’s invincibility.
Played ae for the first time today. Waited an hr per game… I suck :(. The tortillas nerf is pretty bad… also u2 is weaker but still does good damage. It’s pretty much the same not noticeably slower. His normals do feel faster. But I can’t tall say much I didn’t have enough time to experiment.

No, I mean is it true that TKD dropped Fuerte.
yup truee
Wow. That’s very disheartening to hear. He was such a joy to watch and one of the reasons I picked up Fuerte and stuck with him.
Well, the Chun community is losing Nemo and Ryu nation is losing Daigo so maybe we can comfort each other =p
They butthurt. We ain’t.
ehh, idk, half of the stuff I learned I taught myself. TKD was awesome though, but he just wants wins now =(
