^ very nice (borat voice). Btw whats the significance of run stopping into and off of s. lk. frame trap potential. I never really implemented that into my game but zeny does it alot
I wish I could say I know dude, but my El Fuerte knowledge is quite limited to be quite honest with you lol. Er what I would say though is clearly Zeny seems to know what he’s doing, so the effects of that technique can’t be a negative one. So on that note maybe you should try it
0:22:10 Nobody(CA) and I play like 20 matches. Not my best but tried some new stuff and most of it worked.
Ignore our shitty xT stuff at the beginning and the overlapping audio.
Time for more bad Fuerte? Yes it is. I noticed a bad habit of mine. Last time at sanford vs dieminion I landed jabs to bomb since peeps can’t stop pressing buttons. I land this twice during our set and really only got punished once by a crMK. I didn’t switch that up.
At least I went for an RSF here and there

No.
Post videos of your losses. Showing us matches where you got away with the most brain-dead, random and reckless offense doesn’t give us much to critique.
Find a gameplan. Follow it.
It’s online. It doesn’t matter. Put yourself in bad situations and learn how to fight out of them.
Also, block.
Edit: Mod?
Risk vs reward is terrible for random reckless Oki, if that is all you do then you are bad and you should feel bad.
… You NEED safe options to fall back on even if you play risky.
Block…just…block. If you are just throwing EX run out then you aren’t watching patterns. EX run is gdlk, and it is ok to rely on it in situations of uncertainty, that is what it is there for… But if you never learn how to block you aren’t learning anything.
I have to side with Pilgrim… He is right.
Don’t listen to these guys gief none of them block either… ;p as far as ex run it depends on the situation. If they’re doing a blatant jump in and you have a chance to escape and create space do it.
They also make a gooood point we can’t critique a match vs scrubs that have no idea how to play against elf. Lets see how you do vs someone that knows how to focus and forward dash.

Peru, you shhh! Imma get my $20 back.
Sup guys…I have been playing El Fuerte since Vanilla and I am a decent Fuerte player…but of course I have bad matchups just like everyone here. I can do everything for the most part when it comes to El Fuerte’s combos like run stop fierce, run stop crouching forward, and all of his links that lead into run stop pressure. The main problem Im having is that when playing high level players that know the matchup getting in is a huge problem…the reason why is so difficult is because I dont know anything about frame data nor safe jump options…so I usually end up getting punished for jumping in after a knock down since they know how to deal with the mixups…is there a list of safe jumps or option selects…I found one but its from the Super version and apparently none of that stuff works in 2012. And yes I go tournaments locally here in Raleigh NC…Im part of the crew that runs those tournaments and they are called Wednesday Night Brawls and I place in top 4 consistently but the competition here is not as high as other places. Anyways if you could point me in the right direction that would be awesome and I would really appreciate it. Thank you guys.
