you can still punish blanka balls with reversal run slide. as for the topic of meaty slides, i was only talking about dudley. i can’t say for sure if meaty slide beats jet upper, but i am inclined to believe no. i’m pretty sure it beats anything else he can mash out though aside from ex/super/ultra.
Reversal Run slide was always hard to do against Blanka balls online, that’s just the nature of that delay that’s added. Off-line it’s a lot easier to hit every time.

No for focus. Everytime I try wakeup focus it don’t work.
Startup of tortilla counts as grounded. I got gief ultra’d like that before. Shit sucks.
i think you could slide dudley out of jab and strong upper, not fierce. im like 70% sure on that.
does anybody find elf vs makoto very glitchy? if u try to slide against after u knock her down and she back dashes both characters warp.
as far as i know no, if they try to focus you can throw them when you recover from your slide.
Wake up focus is stuffed by anything meaty. Focus attack is a normal with armor. That crumples.

of course you can wake up with a focus and it absorbs meaty attacks…people have been doing this for a very long time.
it doesn’t matter that target combo beats electricity because at that range everything beats electricity. That’s like saying that the target combo is good cause you can punish a dp with it. Why would you do that?
Of course you can still punish blanka balls with run slide. IMO U1 is better vs. blanka. Only matchup I can think of where I’d rather have U1.
A lot of you guys have a weird fascination with finding uses for moves just because they are there. Just because a character has something doesn’t mean it has a use.
Slapping blanka balls with stand MP is actually a very good idea since most blankas aren’t going to actually hit you with the ball. Standing MP stops him from rolling up to you and doing some shenanigan. It is very consistent and easy to stop the ball with standing MP.
You can’t EX guac out of rufus’ U2 after activation to avoid chip. Try it once and you won’t try it again.
I’ll try it again with focus again. Perhaps my timing is wrong. Likely same reason why I sometimes seem to miss wakeup reversal ex run.
You read my mind about standing mp vs blanka balls. I should have posted it the way you did just now though.
I understand where you’re coming from as far as trying to find a use for everything (heck, everyone has useless normals etc) but I find it hard to not look at far mk / target combo be cause it’s speed boost I feel is significant enough to warrant a second look in super.
But hey I should prolly go get RSF down first.
im pretty sure someone found this out already but, just in case.
if u are little away from cr.mk poking distance to up close to deejay. u can shower kick over him if he blocks standing. this will not work if hes in the corner however and if he is crouching he just eats the shower kick. i guess u can figure out all the possibilities with that to play more mind games with deejay :).
but you can cancel the far st.mk (first hit of his target combo) into a special (run for example) or super to be flashy 
this sometimes happen to me while doing the cr.mk-loop, even combos sometimes…
about the meaty slide stuff: ive had beaten adons wakeup jaguar-bla (this rising knee thing) with meaty slide the other day. except the ex one of course.
i diddnt know it worked on adon rising jaguar. i have used meaty slide to beat ibuki’s dp, same goes for t hawks’ dp. this of course odsnt work on their ex versions
Friggin ibuki command dash is annoying.
