That move should be used 1 every 5 matches at best, its soo bad and sooooo punishable I hope they do change it to a qc move or reduce the charge time and make it kinda like boxers headbut where the strength depends on the button you hold.

I like using Q-Bomb. But I think it’s best used once a round or even a set. It’s good for hurricane kick spammers.

I also find it useful against people who overuse FA and backdashes, it has a good range so even if FA was dash canceled it will catch them. Its extremely unsafe though so that limits its use against really good players unfortunately :frowning:

Opponent was Tortilla’d, (you’re holding a kick while the tortilla executes) forward dash x 3 run back xx sudden stop -> Q-Bomb

Q-Bomb actually has real good block stun…which is counter acted by its WORSE recovery on block… which is where FADC comes in for block string / tick throw. It’s FADC window feels kinda big too.

That is the most helpful thing ever. I just faced a Dictator who was headstomp happy and jumping rh stuffed him to death.

@Densou: I do that sometimes with Q-bomb. when you run back after 3 dashes, a lot of people assume you will do safe tortilla, and would react with back/front dash, and either way Q-bomb gets them. But I think Q-Bomb’s major problem is that it relies too much on assumptions, and one wrong assumption leads to the end mostly :frowning:

Still, I think its worth experimenting with Q-Bomb a bit. Maybe i am being too optimistic, but I think it can add an extra dimension to the mix-up game if used wisely.

Yeah, jumping RH beating headstomp is actually VERY useful. I will have to incorporate that - I have had a lot of problems getting out of corner/headstomp pressure from Bison.

I air grab people who are backdash crazy… run back, stop, jump air grab them outta the backdash

Yeah Q-Bomb requires thought behind it. You can’t throw it out there randomly. It would be an awesome REACTION move if it didn’t have such atrocious start time

Q-Bomb would be a lot more useful if it was a command move or something, having to remove throw/focus/slide is just too high a price for a move that requires that much time to charge. Heck, if it was a charge move (Hold back and then forward + punch or something) I’d probably use it way more.

Also just a quick note on Honda. I have had success with run stop neutral jump and on the way down air-grabbing the torpedo they did because they saw you running at them.

Yeah that works, though I don’t think higher level hondas will do a headbutt that isn’t EX in most situations.

Hell no. making it a Back -> forward charge would Limit Q-Bomb to a turtling move. and would still be useless due to start up. It would need priorityor some invinicbility overhuals to do anything worthwhile with it. either short the button charge (Blarog’s Turn punch style) or maybe a qcf.

I’ve actually been using Sobat a lot more as well. I’ve also been finishing rounds with Sobat to Super lately ,but only if I know it will kill them.

And when you hope to god they wont do a DP?

I don’t think sobat is a good idea to go into super with… Unless it’s from coming out of rsf. I find it handy for going through a fireball with ex run only since it’s faster and safer then slide, tostada, fajita.

I dunno. There HAS to be a use for it. I think I’ll be doing some testing in training mode.

I think sobat is useful it punishes people who try and jump away everytime you run at them.
