The replay mode in Super is supposed to let you send other people replays right? Including ones online? If so, I may never become the greatest Fuerte player, but I can make my contribution to the community by uploading all the replays you guys send me to Youtube. I haven’t used my capture device since my Brawl AMV from two years ago, so it’ll be nice to use it again.
Don’t expect 720p though, but that shouldn’t matter.
Judging from what Mr. Wizard posted on the front page looks like elf is getting some of the changes he needs :). Didn’t post if there were any changes to sobat or fajita buster we shall see.
I played some newb last night, using vega. lost a few but eventually started beating him/her. I decided to use fei long and honda and lost with both, so I went back to fuerte and after we finish. I was going to message him/her, D/C. I think it was ragequit because he/she would stick up the angry face after every match I use fuerte lol.
Regarding the sig, I recall it was close to getting finished, it looked pretty cool. I think once it is finalized we can create a thread to grab the attention of all Fuertes interested in having the sig.
I’m still all for it. I have the ideas for before and whatnot, but unfortunately, my skills aren’t that great in GIMP. Not only that, but I’ve had different things going on for school lately. Other than that, there’s Final Fantasy XIII and a tournament I went to today that was almost exclusively Brawl when I came for the TvC; I wanted to leave so badly.
I haven’t been playing for a while though, and now my Guile has caught up with my Fuerte. Some of the guys I play with actually said I should just use Guile. Gotta level up my Fuerte game again.
On the funny side, my baby son can say “Tortiiiiiiilla”, and every now and then, he and my niece will splash mountain me while I’m lying down. I’ll have to be more careful of what games I show them from now on…
That’s adorable. I kind of wish my little sister did that sometimes. At most, she tries to pronounce El Fuerte like I do. It’s been a few months since she last saw me play it though. I wonder if she can roll her Rs yet.
Regarding the sig, I know one person who is very good with Photoshop but he is very busy right now with work and school, so if anyone feels they are up for the task then it would be great. Meanwhile, I will try and search around for someone who has enough time on thier hands to do it. I wish I could do it myself, but I have zero artistic talent T_T
Thanks a lot for what you have done so far KumaOso and Vanilla
Letting them belly flop on you ain’t a good idea. You probably know that not doing anything about it or even “smiling” about it is a sign that there is no problem doing that to people.
Actually, my mother-in-law has told me off a few times for giving in to the babies too much. I know it’s funny now but as they get bigger and learn to jump it starts getting dangerous. I make sure to tell them off once they start throwing things though. There’ll be no fireball spammers in MY HOUSE!
cough Back to actually playing SF, I’ve been working on some tactics I learnt from using Guile.
For one, walk forward, crouch guard. If opponent runs, walk forward, crouch guard. Opponent tries something, backrun Tortilla or whatever else. Just slowly inching forward, it’s such a simple wait and see tactic, but I’ve never tried it until now with Fuerte, and it unnerves a lot of turtlers because they don’t see Fuerte doing that.
Also, neutral jump. I’ve been practising neutral jumping over fireballs. Used to think it wasn’t that good, but it means you can hold position and bait as opposed to being pushed back or jumping forward into a trap.
Very interesting Twelve. Usually I just do a an absurd amount of Run stops and intentionally whiff a far standing mk. I prefer to lk guac over fireballs though. but I think alternating reactions is a good way to demoralize them quickly.
