omg so badass I love his finisher
haha, Mistico is gdlk.
I live on the US/Mexico border, we have local lucha libre matches every sunday and I’ve never been to one. ha.
If you get a chance, any wrestling match is ten times better when you’re actually at ringside. I’ve only ever seen one live match, but it was better than any number of hours on youtube.
Mistico is amazing. I love watching lucha libre. As said in another thread I wish Capcom did more research into it so El Fuerte would have even more insane moves.
lol im tellin you man go in training and have ryu or whoever throw a fireball…do it far screen away first … what a taunt, right?haha the “johnny cage” taunt
I decided to watch the music video for the song in this video:

If anyone has clips of El Fuerte pwnage, please make a video akin to this. Although, Super Smash Bros. would be more suitable for a replica of this video.
@2:45 “Fajiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiita bustaaaaaaaaaaa”
Decided to start playing as Fuerte instead of Honda when I made it to G2, which happened today (only got the game two weeks ago) and although I’m losing an awful lot, it is so much more fun.
Viva La Revolution!
Fuerte Vs. Fuerte???
I wonder if its been discussed but it seems our luchdores friends and having trouble agaisnt other luchadores?
-Slide on ultra wake-up
- Ex guac to escape any punishment traps
-Ultra on blocked tostada’s
-Keep spacing (this becomes more of a guessing game now) because fuerte’s who rushdown usally catch it.
-watch for focus attacks on recovery /guac throw to avoid and grab instantly - some people forget that fuerte has an air grab, any meet-ups in the air do as needed
- do not RSF if you dont know how to…
I’ve been having having a lot of success incorporating run, stop, grab into my game. People never expect it because it is near instant. Looks just like run, grab. Especially been using it on wake-up against block happy opponents. Anyone else use?
Yeah, though I use it sparingly
If I know someone is going to block, safe tortilla (run back hp aimed at the back of their head) sounds like a better option overall.
The risk v reward of run stop throw is not worth it to me. Just learn to do safe tortilla…
run stop throw:
- they backdash, you lose momentum
- they jump, you lose momentum, can’t really punish without ultra
- they uppercut, you die
safe tortilla:
- they backdash, you get a throw
- they jump, you get ex guac, airthrow, ultra, perhaps other things depending which way they jump
- they uppercut, you win
Not to say it’s bad to mix it up, not getting repetitive is the key to success with this character. Against a character that doesn’t have a dragon punch (or gief) who you’ve got shaking in their boots, just blocking on wakeup… sure I guess, go for it.
Long story short, like jodo said, not to be overused.
-Guac in mirror match is pretty lame, I’d suggest never using it unless they’re dumb enough to wall jump. In fact, I bait guacs on wake up ^__^. You can punish the hell out of Elf, just like SRK.
-Next, focus a lot. You know focus messes you up against others, so why not extend the favor to your brothers = p?
-Air throw is tooooo random to be used. Chances are you’ll both air throw and it feels like a coin is tossed in the background.
-I like to attack second, especially with tortillas. You will beat any forward run move.
-Lastly, kick at lobby if you have any feeling they’ll use Elf too = p, lmao.
The only way to learn the mirror is to actually play it im down to play anybody hit me up on XBL the only other good fuerte ive ever played is halconryu. I would like to see the rest of the lucha community and how I stack up.
Hello Buktooth.
Well, just wanted to share some idea that I have been working on, I have recently been doing a spreadsheet for all of my Fuerte matches, recording the number of wins and losses against each character and then the total. This has been very helpful to me in identifying the matchups that I really have a lot of problems with, as well as ones that I have yet to experiece with a very good player (still cant find a solid viper). Not only its fun to do this, it gives me more motivation to search for better players, specifically ones with mains that give Fuerte a hard time.
I can say that I have been having some very satisfactory results against certain characters, but it seems I have some weaknesses against other ones that I have to work on a lot more. Overall, I am very proud of my Fuerte, he is growing into one fine luchador :lovin:
I dont wanna make a thread about cuz Lets face it, our cook does’nt that much work for SSF4
What do you think his “2nd Ultra” will be?
hi guys,
i main guile but i love using el fuerte when i am just having casual matches…and i was wondering if you could answer me a couple of questions.
1.what exactly determines whether fuerte’s utlra is going to hit or not? i always thought it was the range you were standing at…but it seems i was wrong as people have been hitting me with it even when i am right next to them.
2.how do you perform the bait flip in the corner? the one that looks like the air attack flip kick thing but doesn’t actually do anything.
so yea, if someone could answer that for me i would really appreciate it.
