I actually won a few with him today. Running spasms, squeaking and random shouting are too awesome.
I couldn’t figure out what jumping attack I could use to cross the opponent up. I’ve tried j.fwd to no avail, and I’ve read that j.fierce does the job? Anyone know?
I think I will stick with him for a long while. It’ll be a long, hard road.
So I’m gonna hit the main arcade that has this tomorrow and it will be first time playing in over a month.
Just wanted a quick run-down on a few things.
The over-head kick is the drop kick no? I see it listed as M.K but I remember doing it as F.K and confusing the fuck out of people except me.
Has the Habenero Dash into m.k been confirmed as an overhead yet?
I’m sure there are more things that I forgot but these are the ones that come to mind. His mix-up’s being hella nasty and I remember people being like “WTF?!?!” any new light on these?
One of the guys in Oregon has the Master Guide and will scan the Fuerte data (hopefully) tomorrow so I’ll be sure to post it here if he doesn’t.
If you are talking about the drop kick which is Fw+Hk then yes it is an overhead but if u get it on a standing opponent it is also 2 hits. and Habenero Dash into m.k. is not an overhead. Good luck!
for the fierce loop
i find it easier to do it this way
fierce>jab run>pause>(jab(stop)>fierce>jab run)loop
you will have to press jab>fierce>jab really really really fast
if you do it right you will see the fierce come out without stopping the run
if it is not fast enough, you can see fuerte stop and then the fierce comes out
it will connect but you won’t get more than 3 hits since that he will be too far for you to link another fierce
the timing to stop the run is very important too
if you stop your run too fast, the second fierce you do will connect but you won’t get the third fierce combo because you are too far away from the guy being hit
the first and second fierce need to be right next to the guy
or else, you won’t get more than 3 or 4 hits
i don’t think it is an infinite and you need to be right next by the guy if you want to get the 5 fierce done
after i did the fifth fierce, the guy was too far for you to do another running fierce
i could only do 5 fierce after the lv 2 savings attacking hit or i walk right next to them after they miss a shoryu or something
if i did jump fierce cross up first then combo it into the fierce loop
the third fierce would’t combo
the frame data shows fuerte has 3 frame to link into another fierce just like what buktooth said
but i think you can only make 1 frame mistake if you want to loop the fierce 5 times
you need that 2-3 frames to allow your run get as close as possible to the guy being hit
According to the book, fuerte has 2 normals that are overheads.
-far s.hk (drop kick). only the 2nd hit is an overhead.
-f+mk (flip kick). this is an overhead but can be blocked while holding forward or backward
both of these moves are pretty asstastic, ive never seen either of them used with much effectiveness.
The Fw+mk is a really fast move u can do it a few times but I wouldnt recommend you use it to much. I only use it about…2 or 3 times if he blocks because it can also go through opponents so youll end up on the other side but yes its not to safe people will shoryu out of it. It also combos into the normal super if u have it.
So played with El Fuerte and last night and I think I’m gonna wait on him for now and focus on Guile. I suck too bad right now to really do him justice.
But besides that here is his frame data. Thanks go to FullMetalRoss for taking the time to scan his guide! http://web.pdx.edu/~koehl/SFIV/
Ok so Ive tried to do Chestpress many times…and it still hasent come out for me! Do you just hold Any kick button for 2 or more seconds than release when u want to use it? Or is there another way cuz Ive tried holding like MK for like 5 seconds then releasing and nothing comes out. I would really like to use this move more since its a good punshing move. Could anyone explain it a bit to me?
How long do you hold the kicks or kick for? Cuz I tried holding mK as soon as the match started and waited a while and then let go and he still didnt do anything.
you have to hold it down for at least 3 seconds
usually i hold LK down with my thumb while i play and release when i want to punish someone or throw them off
if it still doesnt come out for you i dont know what to tell you man
i’m not sure why the updated infinite info wasn’t brought to the main thread, but buk mistook the frame data and came up with 3 f.
it’s actually 8f, and after realizing it’s 8f, the infinite became a lot easier. i’m getting 3 hits pretty consistently but i still need practice… he’s still very very limited in terms of viable anti-air and a footsie game is almost non-existant due to his shitty normals…
it’s almost like playing t6 where you just ran around dashing and then doing random mixups.
but yeah, i was playing vs a sag and i did ultra on reaction to his firebal. instead the super came out and i died.
