There is a tryout tonight? Damn! I wasn’t going to tryout but watching people playing for pride is fuckin hype. What are the details? I’ll post it up on Facebook.
Gootecks is pretty much the reason I started playing Street Fighter and looked for a local scene. His early work really put fighting games on the map and probably got a lot of other people to pay attention to the FGC. Say what you will about his motives for money, but he saw a bigger picture in this whole FGC thing and having talked to him at both Canada Cups it was obvious he had something different in mind but nonetheless he is still awesome.

who did you think I was talking about? The vesper guys have done a lot for the community and even streamed canada cup in nightmarish conditions. The only reason they choose not to come out is cause there is no community right now and they don’t want to get tangled up in the politics. There’s too much bad blood and calling people out or saying someone doesn’t support the community isn’t helping.

I really don’t know how I feel about SFxT. The game just doesn’t seem that good on it’s own merits.
Both Skullgirls and KOF13 are starting to look very appealing.
i still think AE is a really good game. my journey with this game is not complete.
i hear that. after a couple months break my head is just swimming with shit i wanna work on and explore. i’ve even got the motivation to learn a new character (and by learn i mean get somewhere near my sakura’s level). AE is a fucking awesome game!

lol I’m trying to get better at Marvel but I need to learn fundimentals from the ground up. Its too easy to catch me in mixups. I dont know matchups very well either. I’m basically terrible but I still LOVE playing this game. yeah we in there with sf4 but it’s harder and harder with people jumping ship for sfxt.
