that twitter account is amazing

Talk about sad, Ov3rhead Greg’s channel (the one with high level japanese matches) was shut down by NicoNico’s parent company Dwango based on sopa bullshit. He wasn’t in a partnership program and it didn’t even matter. Guard your shit, uploaders.

It had nothing to do with SOPA and Ov3head Greg was an idiot. I don’t see how he couldn’t have forseen either a cease or desist letter or a shut down of his channel for uploading the Topanga League matches on his youtube channel. That stream was a pay-per-view service so obviously there was going to be some copy rights on the footage. Much how Canada Cup put a cease and desist to anyone who uploaded footage from the tournament to their youtube channels.

Oh, nevermind then

Pretty much what Killey said. There were a few videos that I had to ask him to take down because he was not asking for permission. He wasn’t even a partner so I don’t understand why he was so desperate to get views.

PS congrats Vesper on the new digs. I’m proud of you.

One question though, wouldn’t he have gotten a cease and dissist warning first? I mean maybe he had before in the past, but isn’t that required before removal? Seems even more stupid if he had been warned and refused and not knee jerk shutdown.

No cease and dissist for Guile, this is obviously an insurance fraud case.

The way it works is if you get the 3rd dispute it gets taken down. However this is per video, so he had 3 different videos (way more than that) disputed so it was like BOOM.

i thought youtube just pulled shit when they got an inkling that something hosted is illegal content

It is up to the original owners dispute to either take it down or outright strike them. If it is from some kind of business the chances of it being a strike are huge, I think they made the right decision.

Audio disputes are not as serious, I have plenty of disputes for audio. Both audio and video dispute is very serious though.

Desist.

Desist.

who’s desist? the dead should get respect. when I become desist, I don’t want people talking about me.

man just when i was in the mood to watch recent high level japanese sf4 footage.

We are live from a new venue!

come join us if you’re bored!

Such a quiet night at OK.

If anyone is coming on saturday, remember to get your gear, and train hard. GL and HF, we’ll see you guys at the event!

The times are a changin’ at OK I can see. I kinda feel sorry for the marvel scene, wasn’t looking too hot in particular. Had good games in sf though, lots of new blood.

Fuck FF XIII-2 rant

[details=Spoiler]Wow, FF XIII-2. Trying so hard and then fuck it up harder still. I liked Fang and Lightning from the first game, and now Lightning is even on the cover to -2… and they just announced you can play her if you buy the fucking dlc.

WHUT

Let’s see what else they fixed. People complained about Vanille making odd noises during the game, that annoying japanese touch all their anime characters seem to do. So she’s gone, seems a like a fix right? Oho, no! We have a flying moogle that follows you at all times that makes even more annoying KUPOPO noises with a worse voice.

WHUT

I think they are only getting by re-re-re-re-releasing their golden days games on every platform imaginable. Now excuse me while I go play ff6 on psp.[/details]

Japan is on a roll

I’ve never seen OK so depressingly vacant.

You guys have really been missing out on floe’s stream. He’s been playing a flash game known for very unfair trial and error difficulty called I Want To Be The Guy and losing his shit very often. FGC people like Wong, Sherry, Ricky, Fanatiq, Marn, Triforce and such often come by or talk to him on the phone to “encourage” him to play better. At one point the creator of the game was in the chat too fielding questions like “Is this the funniest play you’ve ever seen?”, which the reply was “No, I saw a guy cry once but this is better than when Marlinpie was forced to play it”. Such good shit.

See the beginning of the decent to madness here, starts at 17:52.
