Speaking of naggers I want to nag you guys about the prize pool for the ranbat at OK. What’s the consensus on holding off giving the prize out? I kinda want to put some money towards a secret prize for top 3 or four places as well as doing a pizza night. I’m trying to make it worth your while to do well.

Yes it’s a side tourney for Random select. The regular ranbat is going to start first.

Bee has 14 points and the next closest is 5 points away. It’s not a wrap yet but it’s pretty close. Only Ajin and myself have a mathematical chance of catching him for first, but we would both have to get first and he would have to place below 3rd.
Yes this week the random ranbat (randobat!) is on. Next week we will probably have an underdog side tourney.

epic fail i commend the SF community for not being hurting… not even including the money shiro bee and jimmy gave me i payed 50$ myself to play with the same ppl i always play against duno how that turned out, if the turnout was good i wouldnt have even cared its not even about the money…tried to find a way to accommodate broke asses who bitch and complain about a few dollars to do something they enjoy same excuses same result…
I’d say if we put the word out about Salty Sundays then we could get even more people out. If you are for sure going to meet up next Sunday then I’ll make a big stink about it on facebook. Just let me know either way. Also if you’re going to put your own money up I would suggest scaling the stations and putting a hard cap on the time.
Hey so I’ll be running a random select mini ranbat this wednesday at overklocked. No extra fees required past the entry for Raiden’s $5. Starting approx 9pm to give official ranbats some time to get through some matches. Works like this:
-Both players pick Random select, first to two wins advances in double elim brackets
-Loser of the first match can either rematch or pick a new random. Winner must pick the character and ultra he got by random select
-If loser ties it up, the new loser can also rematch or opt for a random select
-No peeking at movelists! Even if you get Gen lol
-Grand Finals best of 3
-Just for shits and giggles

Next week there will be an undercard mini tourney that will exclude the top placing people from the official ranbats, a best of the rest shindig. Look for more info next week including early signups.
