If the entire arcade is not making profit like you claim, that is once again is not our fault either (there is only 2 fighting machines in the entire arcade), and i highly doubt they are not making profit considering how much the racing games brings in…

Man, shut the fuck up. You don’t know shit about the SF community. First of all, you’re never even fucken there, so how could you know anything? Second, for the majority of us, SF takes a back seat to school and other commitments. We bust our backs to keep it alive, but it’s not the dominating force of our existance. To say we are a shitty community is plain ignorance. Third, no one gives a fuck about Apex. It’s a weak system and everyone knows it. Fourth, if you think that SF keeps an arcade alive, you are WAY out to lunch. No matter how much we play, we’re not even breaking 10% of the total bottom line.

Alright this is a very long story of all the shit going down CC but if you don’t want to read then to sum it up, Vancouver will not rehire a new management to Circuit Circus because it simply does not make enough profit and fails to be worth the hassle.
Alright when I was working at CC one of the main head vancouver guys flew down here to fix the computers and shit (Wayne doesn’t know JACK about computers). I was talking to him about how theres no progress and theres alot of cool shit that we can start doing to improve the arcade and that I gave Wayne a list of stuff to send to vancouver (because Wayne needs everything approved). When I was telling him shit he was just shaking his head saying waynes down to his last draw, apparently Nadina (supervisor) was sending faxes down and shit complaining wayne isn’t doing jack, like leaving work early all the time, not doing paper work and getting her to do all the jazz. He also said that wayne didn’t send any “sheet of lists” to vancouver (apparently wayne ripped it and threw it in the garbage).
The reason why wayne doesn’t want anything to progress is because he doesn’t want to be replaced. If empoyees have all these ideas and the manager just can’t think up new shit its over for him, since vancouver just needs a better reason for him to be replaced, simple as that.
Things that I wanted to get done:
- Moving all the machines around in genre based groups similar to playdium scene. This will first of all help all the idiots who put loonie tokens in the fighting machines all the time, because we can simply direct ppl sections on what money they need. It’s also more organized for the coin pull and the tech’s. Older or newer games will become more noticed, I wouldn’t mind playing some of the older kof games if ppl played too, that would be dope. Tekken 5 is almost hidden away so ppl don’t even know it exists.
Spent a week writing down all the jazz that would be moving, fellow worker friend Alex even drawed out a map for wayne so basically he just has to look, we did all the work for him. The result? Wayne said that headoffice has to approve of it, and the papers that we wrote out in the counter has gone “missing” (supposed to be faxed).

Air hockey tables / Pool tables would be pretty dope to have in CC, many many people as us if we have any we say no, Im sure those would be played non-stop and since there would be a lineup of guys playing pool they would be playing games in the mean time. The only problem that I could see with this is that it would get kinda rowdy with all the drunk natives causing dumb shit all the time but I have a solution to that with my next idea below. The result? Wayne said headoffice wouldn’t like that and that was well… well that was that.

Getting rid of all coin boxes for the computers and getting rid of the carpet completely. Problem with the carpet is that it builds up static electricity HELLA and a simple charged up token can actually wreck the timer. Having a main computer that simply activates them on or off (Exactly like any computer Cafe) would be extremely efficient so we don’t have to keep giving fags refunds cause the box “Ate their coin”. Also we would have someone in the back at all times monitoring everyone making sure their not doing dumb shit, and keeping an eye on the pool tables (if we had them)
The result? Wayne doesn’t want us with the power to activate the computers cause he doesn’t want us to play for free. He makes us spray the carpets down with static remover spray cans in the morning.
Now playdium was highly funded, they had the largest game selection in alberta and had a foodbar, bar, couches seats, very efficient card system (not at the start). All in all they were bananas. But how did they get bankrupt? because of WEM outstanding power bill? because I used a 30min time card for a month and a half? No because of DEMAND. They ignored everyones demand for what games they wanted. And praised everything on a ddr max machine that was later proclaimed Jesus.
The thing with Circuit Circus is that their losing in demand,integrity,sales. It should have been closed down looooooooong time ago. But as long as theres “Rock and Ride” those 5$ will persist to fund the broken loonie machine and give you 4$ back. As long as the azns still pick K-groove blanka, as long as Emo goth skater kids keep sitting down in the chairs and not play anything. As long as the Dragon Punch machine tells you how strong you are (no really, that number is accurate fo shiz). And ofcourse above all else, As long as someone screams out “Hey!.. who the fuck works here!!!” CC will live on to the next outstanding year.
But seriously what the problem is everything Manager,Employees,Techs,Customers. And Robberies.

Anyways imagine having a float of only $200 on a friday night where your backup money is in your safe that only consists of $100 if your new, my safe at its highest was $1500 in which case I used most of it on fellow workers, now when I first worked there I was available and actually did my job. Then I was cleaned out $1500 in 4hours on friday night. It was to the point where I actually told the newbies to hide and not stay at the counter 24/7 cause were simply going to be cleaned out. The Casino only gives a max of $200 change a night.
Why are our safes so shitty? because employees jack from it. 2 safes were missing $500 in a 2 month span. And always someone is short from a safe. Which is near impossible cause you don’t carry your safe around you on your back. Me and Alex were the only employees who weren’t short from our safe in a 5month span.
Theft. People jacky from the coin pull every week, it is so goddamn easy to do its not even funny, the metres are inaccurate so theres no way wayne can tell if the float was under. The result? over $500 in loonie tokens jacked A WEEK.
Alright now the biggie, wayne was robbed OVER $3000 in PSP’s,Ipod mini’s,and loonie tokens… thats alot of PSP’s shhiiiieet. Someone who worked at CC pulled a mission impossible (could be more than one person) climbed through the roof in the back room and dropped down in waynes office, there were foot prints found on his desk and a plate was moved from the roof on both sides of the lockers and in his office. Nobody was seen come in or out CC suspecious on security cameras obviously they left a stick on the back door and did a hit and run while a worker was probly playing games on the computer. Several past employees still had the keys to the back room so it could have been anyone.
The Result, all employees are scheduled to have a LYING DETECTOR test in april thats a nice big fat LAWL.

Alright first things first, They are all FOREIGN except one guy who does not give a fuck. They have many many places to hit not just CC, they gota go to galaxyland and lots of req centres in edmonton. Obviously CC is not going to be a priority to them. Now these techs honestly I swear don’t know jack shit about the games but they do know their shit about wirings and stuff like that.
first of all techs are not responsible for any of the Change machines, thats head office jazz. But wayne won’t ask for new ones cause hes one sad panda.
Now any of you who have hit the dipswitch on the machines know what the test screen looks like, its an ugly black screen with simple binary style pictures of button placements… if you press the strong punch button the “0” will change to “1” for example to display its being pressed, This is no biggy explaining to a tech if its not working. However something complicated like joystick switches is too hard to explain to a tech who doesn’t understand english very welll.
Now im not going to explain how joystick switches work, but most of you Cali Proz shoud know, The exact way the tech checks the joystick is simple. He does 3 rotations counter-clockwise and 3 rotations clockwise… now whats wrong with this picture? well ofcourse the joystick will seem liable this way because hes going to hit every direction rather than TESTING it 1 at a time. Now these techs don’t play fighting games. they have no clue how accurate the stick must be, i honestly don’t blame them for that. I have took the time to explain to one of the azn techs… cause word on the street is azns play fighting games.
Now I took the time to show them when for example I put the joystick to the utmost top-right that the digit did not say “1” the up direction said “1”… and the top-right would kinda flicker… meanign that the switches were either poorly placed or too bent out. You basically want a tight feel or a loose feel, I was thinking of having one machine each. Each with a different feel of the sticks.
First thing I did was replace every single switch for all 3 mvc2 and cvs2 machines. Which I did now why is that the joysticks arent 100% bananas? because its not a matter of replaces fresh switch its the fact that you have to bend and turn these switches to adjust the sensitivity of it. This takes time, which I wanted to do over night but wayne doesn’t trust me with the keys. So go suck the big one.

The stacker machine has had prizes stolen from it 3 times, A guy was able to walk up to it and pry it with a knife in broad day shift, he threatend the kid with a knife and said not to look. People honestly don’t read signs… people place quarters in the loonie machine all the time because it says “Quarters Only”… yes that obviously means if you don’t have 4 Quarters YOU’RE screwed! this jams the machine, which means GG loonie machine eats your loonie.
