Finally got a camera…
I finished this about a month or so ago. The case was made by ecksine of these forums. I did all the wiring and stuff. It is a cthulhu and a mad catz retro wired up to a switch. i did not wire up the select/back button on the controllers.
First sanwa stick i’ve ever used so I’m still getting used to it.
I’m singing “itttts a small world after allll” IRL.

The sticks are very nice but I don’t like the fact the cable comes out the bottom of the box. Surely it’s not THAT hard to make it come out the edge and not the underneath?

LOL! Seriously man! What are the odds!? I hadn’t seen you in like what, 7 years? Then all the sudden you are at my house for a stick box having no idea who I was.
It’s actually really easy to route a wire slot. The main reasons I don’t do it are because:
#1 A lot of people are doing wireless sticks and don’t want an empty notch.
#2 I don’t like to drill or route the wood anywhere I don’t have to. I guess I just respect my wood :bgrin:
#3 People wire differently, and want the hole in a place that suits the placement of the pcb(s) they are using.

I guess, I’m the first to post pictures of an almost finished thinsided mahagony case? Almost unfinished because I’m still waiting for the cthulhu and 3 clear 24 mm buttons for the backside.
But it turned out just beautiful! I just love the colour of the wood, the shape and size of the case and how professionally you built it!

Craig makes some of the nicest boxes I have seen, and not only that he cranks the things out. None of the pictures do the cases justice, and that’s saying a lot because they look amazing in the photos.
He’s also a really cool dude. Next case I buy is definitely coming from him.

I should have the wiring done by the end of the week. Im looking to get as close to ShinJN’s “The Bear” design.
The plexi is sticking up a bit at the edge as I did not center the board as I was putting it in.
