How big are your cases compared to say, a HRAP or a TE? And do you have any experience with Korean sticks? I’m interested in a PS2 K-stick that I can use on PS3 and 360 via a converter.
I was wondering the same thing. they look a little smaller which is nice.

Thanks to SRK, ecKsniNe, Slagcoin, Lizardlick and RDC over at xbox-scene for the resources!
does eck still make sticks?
I hope he didn’t burn out. I enjoy seeing his multi-wood sticks.
i figured he did some people on neogeo where asking bout him cause they been waiting for their sticks
Eck’s sticks are truly works of art. I built my first stick using one of his cases. Quality builder indeed! I hope I can order another one of his boxes soon…
Hey everyone! I am back! Thanks to all the nice words!
I had some obstacles recently, but they are starting to be tackled.
I will have new stuff very soon!

Hey ecks, glad to hear your back, im looking to buy a custom wood fightstick setup. are you going to have a forsale thread? i noticed ur website is under construction.
^ Likewise. I’ve been trying to look around for good wooden cases since I’m planning on starting my own custom-stick project soon. Your cases seem to be the stuff I’m looking for, so I’m looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!
hey ecks
i recently implement that hybrid idea of yours on a case i was building i ll post pics of how it looks once i finish it.
hope you dont mind
how much is that devil wood? I like the rounded devi wood i saw recently in the fightstick thread
Hey Ecks glad to see you’re back, I hope all your problems get tackled, and you get time for some stick building :). I’ll be looking forward to a blank case!
I want one of these sticks ecKsniNe. PM me or something.
I was wondering how tall your Polo fight stick was. How thick was each piece of wood used and what kind of wood was it? its a bad ass looking fight stick!!
Hey guys! It’s been a minute, but I’m back with something to share with the group.
What we have here is a Cocobolo case, with some gentleman style Dudley art. Sanwa Snap ins, Sanwa JLF, and some mitsu buttons on the back end. I got this badboy wired for ps3/360 via chimp board. At the moment it’s not working with ps3, I am having some issues with the chimp board… Hopefully that will be resolved very soon.
I did a few things with this stick that I don’t normally do.
First thing is I devised a new method for making the Neutrik USB passthrough to sit nice and flush in the center button hole. I think it came out pretty nice.
Secondly, this box has more finish on it than anything I have ever made. This box was actually built for Nareg originally, but was knocked off a counter and broken into 4 neat little pieces at one point. At the time it broke it it already had around 14 coats of 2 different kinds of finish on it. After the break, it sat in pieces for months and months. I finally put it back together, and power sanded it so the edges were once again flush. I shaved the finish completely off a few of the corners during the sanding, so I had to re-apply sealer and finish again with multiple coats. Anyway, now that this thing is sitting on gobs of finish it looks pretty nice. Sort of reminds me of glass.
The last thing worth mentioning about this case is that it is much thinner than my usual cases, which you may not be able to tell from the pictures. I was a little bit worried about this because I am the type of player that insists on having my joystick very close to arcade standard height. I overcame this obstacle by routing the sides of a piece of plexi, and drilling a 24mm hole where the shaft sits. Then, I placed the bottom art and a thinner piece of plexi on top of that. The neat thing about this set up is that the square gate of the JLF is actually bottoming out on the inner plexi, but due to the hole the joystick still has perfect range of motion without interference. This is really good because I can dig my knee into the bottom of this thing all I want and never have to worry about clipping the shaft and screwing up my awesome HCF, QCF, and SRK motions.
Anyhow, here it is:

I can feel the pain ! However, the final result is marvelous, you cannot guess what happened to the case before.
