EAT CHAIN! -The Ghost Rider Combo/Strategy Thread

im working in Dormammu into my team to go. GR(heartless spire)/Dorm(dark hole)/Cap(charging star). does anyone have any combo vids w/ GR/Dorm assist out there? been in the lab tryna test some stuff out. but any help is always appreciated

Don’t use the hellfire to OTG. I use ammy as well and it’s much easier and just as damaging to just to the spire for your otg. Ammy, then Spire (not at the same time like most assist combos).

Right now my Ammy and Doom give him +1.5 meter build and 720k damage

I dunno for me assist+hellfire OTG is easier but I think it’s only because that’s the one I’ve been doing. I’ll try spire out again. When I tried it before I didn’t have any success and the thing with hellfire is let’s say for some reason the assist doesn’t come out or it whiffs with hellfire you can still hyper cancel for some good damage

damage sucks, but at least it looks good :stuck_out_tongue: you can probably extend it a bit with another assist.

The trick is to call :A1: as late as possible, and to press the j.:m:'s as fast as possible.

My combo with Deadpool (Quickwork) and Hawkeye (Ragtime Shot) assists

Jump :s: :a1: land :h: :h: :dp:+:m: :h: :h: :a2: :qcb:+:m: ( :a2: hits) :h: :h: :qcb:+:l: :qcf:+:l: :qcf:+:atk::atk:

Personally I’d go GR chain assist and Cap’s Shield Slash. Dorm can combo off SS just about anywhere and chain offers some nice damaging corner combos and some decent mid-screen ones as well.

yeah im working on mixing in his chain assist for combo’s its almost useless if i dnt have a range character out cause i cant get to em to hit them in time w/o me being in corner w/ it

You can use Cap’s shield and dash in for a combo or use Dorm’s Dark Hole into Chaotic Flames. Cap can also use the chain after a shield slash OTG and follow up w/ an H Charging Star into Hyper Charging Star.

Hawkeye and the chain assist work well. Do any LMHS MMHS - call chain assist - trick shot poison arrow - you’ll get the wall bounce relaunch MMHS trick shot poision arrow - gimlet. Looks good

yea i started using his chain assist in the corner w/ cap. after i OTG w/ shield slash it wall bounces them i catch them w/ s. H into S. the BnB in the air OTG again into Hyper

I’ll have to try that and see what the damage is. W/ Cap after landing an S, I typically go j.H, H. Shield Slash, j.H, H Shield Slash, s.H,S, jMMH, double jump, j.M, j.dH, then OTG w/ L shield and use GR’s chain to bounce, H Charging Star, Hyper Charging Star for 800k.

d. H, QCB l, b+h+asist 1, H,H, dp M, H, H, QCB L, a2, qcf L, hold back or kara back dash qcb L as the second drone hits it causes the third drone to hit while in the throw animations oddly enough, QCF L, xx QCF atk atk

its about 730k off a sweep. Hard parts are timing the sentinel assist its a pretty small window for it to hit off the hellfire.

d. H has a bit more range than H,H so it has uses as a punish in certain situations that you can’t get an HH in.

Hey all, here is a combo that I’ve been working on with my Ghost Rider team.

Team: Ghost Rider/:a1:Deadpool (Quick Work)/:a2: Spencer (Angled Claw Grapple)

The best part about the follow combo is it starts with an unblockable and confirms into a full combo that builds just over 1 meter. Here we go!

j.:s: + :a1: > :h:, :h:, :dp: :m:(some times :l: depending on the opponents position),:h:, :h:, :qcb::l:, :b: :h: + :a2: , :d::h:,:s:, j.:m::m::s:,
:dp: :atk::atk:

If this combo is finished with pulling the Motorcycle up using :s:, the combo will do ~666.3k damage and will build just over 1 meter. Having said that, I’ve got this combo up to ~863k by DHC’ing into Deadpool’s Trigger Happy (mashed).

I’ve got a ton of mileage out of this combo because it starts with the unblockable. Because of this, my opponents usually stick to the air which makes them easy to keep away with s.:s: and :qcb::m:.

thinking of going ghost rider (wall bounce)/cap (shield slash)/doom (missiles).

Any obvious way to combo and use both assists? I have 1 that uses the missiles but I want to incorporate the shield slash, however it does heavy hit stun at the end… maybe i can use a wall bounce before the hit stun deteriorates?

I went into training mode for about two minutes to try to work something out for you:
:h:, :h: xx :qcb: :l:, :a1:, :b::h:, :h:, :h: xx :dp::m:, :h:+:a2:, :h: xx :qcb::h: (missiles OTG) :qcb::l:, :dp::atk::atk:, :s:

It works off of any other opener, j.:s: or cr.:h: or an :l::m: chain. When you call Cap, you need to do heartless spire as fast as possible afterwards, if you heartless spire too late after calling Cap they won’t get juggled by both hits of shield slash, and the followup :h: won’t be possible. When you call Doom you need to hit :h: at the exact same time for the missiles to OTG properly later. I only practiced this on Ryu because I had all of 3 minutes to spare, so no guarantees it will work on everyone. Damage is about 670k with an :h::h: opening (not great, I know). Builds about 2% meter after the super ender. Neatly DHCs into hyper charging star.

X-Factor Penace Stare

XF guard cancel, :hcb::atk::atk:(mash), s.:h::h:xx:dp::l:, (Dash) s.:h::h: (delay) :s:sj.:m::m::s:, (dash) OTG :b::h:

You should be able to kill anyone with this combo without using a fourth meter, easily with an assist. I’m going to add more variations later and the damage+what lvl x factor is used when I get home. The reason I’m posting this though is because most of the time I only use penace stare right after X-Factor.

I’m wondering what Penace Stare resets are there out there/you use?
