what do you gys do when the round starts? snap back? jump H? just wodnerign what options there are that are pretty safe… especially against haggar, hulk or magneto.

Ok, so I saw a combo from a French player called “Oro” that made me fall in love with Ghost Rider all over again. Ghost Rider (Chain of Rebuttal)/Dormammu (Dark Hole)/Doom (Hidden Missiles)
H,H, :dp:+L, H+A2, H, :qcb:+H, (Missiles OTG), H, H, :qcb:+H, Dash Foward+A1, :qcf:+L OTG, Dark Hole hits, :qcb:+L, :qcf:+L OTG, :qcf:+ATK+ATK Mash.
It’s long as hell, has 2 Conviction Slams and you can end with either Hellfire Maelstrom or Spirit of Vengeance for the DHC. The only remotely tricky part is the Dash Forward and calling Dark Hole. You need to hit all 3 buttons simultaneously and you need to let Ghost Rider do the full dash animation before canceling into Hellfire OTG but you can’t wait too long. Also, if you’re in the corner they may be too high to :qcb:+L so use :qcb:+M instead. Dormammu DHCs super good with Ghost Rider. Anywhere but the corner, Hellfire Maelstrom’s ground bounce is perfect for Chaotic Flame. If you cancel OTG Hellfire into Hellfire Maelstrom quickly and only let it hit once or twice then mash the hell out of the super, and then DHC into Chaotic Flame and then mash the hell out of that you can do over 1 Million damage from a 3/4 screen hit confirm. If you’re in the corner you can use Spirit of Vengeance for a bit less, but if you have 4 meters feel free to use Hellfire Maelstrom, wait just a moment, and then DHC into Dark Dimension (Dorm’s level 3). Hellfire Maelstrom puts them into a grounded state in the corner for some goofy reason.
I thought Ghost Rider was unplayable without Drones but this team is making me reconsider. Pickup confirms from Dark Hole and the above combo (not to mention ghetto mixups/combo extensions with Chain of Rebuttal Assist for Dorm and Doom) are nothing to sniff at.

There isn’t much to get out of him, combo-wise. I do the same combo every time (H, H, wallbounce, slam, otg missiles, h, h, slam, dash, otg into dark hole, slam, super).<div><br></div><div>I love him for his X-factor Level 3 cancel though. God damn do I love it. It’s great for regaining the momentum if you’re behind or just putting your foot on the gas when you’re ahead.</div><div><br></div><div>Finally 4th Lord (60% wins lol) in XBL ranked with GR/Dorm/Doom. I bet I’d be 2nd or better if I took the time to learn Magneto but I just can’t quit GR. I found some great tech with Taskmaster up arrows. I think Ghost Rider is only going to work well as a point character because he needs to have two big assists to combo with to get above decent damage. I don’t think he’s bad though.
Edit My bad, made my original post in the wrong topic. Different question then, how practical are Ghost Rider ToDs? I really haven’t seen any that didn’t involve x-factor or a level 3 opener. Are they that difficult to come up with or is it just that the characters that help him do it don’t help him at all in a neutral game?
Combination of both. Even with assists that are only helpful for combos he struggles to break a million. He also has issues TACing to other characters properly (after a fully extended combo anyway) so you don’t have that option to fix his damage either. He just doesn’t have options to get more damage out of his combos than what we’re already seeing.
Yes, he can. Without slow or assists. I haven’t gotten it to be useful in longer combos be I know at a certain distance you can use the Hard version of the Spirit of Vengeance to get a wall bounce which also causes a hard knockdown. The problem with this is that he needs to be either full/half screen in order to do this and the opponent needs to be higher than rider on the bike. It also needs to be cancelled early so you probably wont get any hits from the bike itself.
I’ve found that the Zak Bennett Firebrand extension with Dormammu works with Ghost rider! Able to push 1.2M+ damage off of 3 meters! My apologies if this has already been demonstrated. I’m not sure how much it gains but I’m betting it’s more than 1 meter since my normal bnb generates 1 meter.
Goes something like this:

So now you’re mashing hellfire maelstrom in the corner instead of doing Spirit of Vengeance. DHC to Stalking Flare before the last hit so the opponent is at the highest point possible.

Tips and Tricks:
-You want to be as far into the corner as possible when doing the OTG hellfire->hellfire maelstrom to get the most hits and most height for the DHC stalking flare.
-If you need more distance you can dash up and launch them after the missiles otg and just air string ,:s: to put them and you in the corner.
-Practice the timing of loading the dark spells and bringing down the meteors. It’s tight. Then just mash assist and Flame Carpet so they bounce off the flame carpet into Ghost Rider’s chain and then your Dark Matter, Dark Hole, Chaotic Flame.
Hey guys, nothing particularly new here, but just thought I’d show you some stuff with my GR team. I use Thor here, but you could do these exact combos with Dormammu as well, or even Nova for that matter for more damage. (For example, if you do maelstrom mid screen the last hit bounces them and catch them with chaotic flame for an easy 900k+ damage.
It’s just a compilation of stuff I’ve pulled from what you guys and improvisations with Thor, but had some free time so slapped some clips together. Two snapback xfactor (lvl1) clips at the end as well
Cool combos my dude, but the thing is, that team is not optimal for GR. You need to have solid NEUTRAL assists to make him somewhat midtier. Good vid
