Easy mode top tier team

I wanted Shinryuken, but that was taken.
So was Shinyuken, surprisingly.
But I chose it basically because it’s my favorite Super of Ken’s. Even in 3S. :o

Does Shin really mean True? I always thought it meant evil, or super.
(Basing this off of Shin Akuma :p)

cammy is only invincible to energy attacks, she will bounce off solid attacks (like drones) and then she looses invinciblity. also, if u try and kba magneto and he dhc into storm , cammy will aim at magneto and will obvioulys miss storm and get hit by hailstorm.

cammy and ken will cleanly go through hailstorm and hit storm, a bunch of other assits will trade and knock her out of it too.

This post is Godlike because it’s the truth.

just try any mix of storm/sent/cable with cyc or capcom assists

team scrub… end of story

i second that…team scrub played right will kill

I was a new sentinel player about 2 years ago since I picked up ssd as one of my main teams and he is not scrub friendly. It takes daily practice and then understanding the proper layers to make the robot function right. Then add the fact that it takes a while to learn to FF. After FF’s, you need to understand when you gain unfly which takes experience and trained eyes and after unfly, you gotta learn refly. Bot is not user friendly. :wasted:

imo, its going to be cable\storm\ random AA. Imo, either cyke AA or mando AA. Preferbably mando AA since he controls a great bit of the screen. Thats not to say that only scrubs can play this team because this team can become very effective but of the top tier teams, this has to be the one of the easiest for beginners to grasp immediately.

team scrub can be used by a scrub but once cable goes, that bot isn’t doing anything real. He’ll get pancaked up easy. :wasted:

w\ storm, learning to overhead isn’t that hard. Typhoon, hail or call AA, hail are very easy combo’s and or assist punish strings. Cable’s j.hp, TK nades and AHVB doesn’t also take that long to learn. Granted that these characters can take a while to master but they are more scrub friendly than the bot will ever be.

honestly, sentinel is one of the hardest characters to learn\master in the game. Especially for a rookie who truly knows nothing about the game.

point taken, i do c where you coming from…but random frying pans and HSF rocks for a rookie…lol

I don’t know why more people don’t use Ken as their AA. He’s invincible for 1, and two it does greeaaat damage when it connects. It’s also great against rushdowns.

Coming from a scrub, a ridiculously easy team to use is Cyke/Cable-a/Capcom. Cyclops is a helluva point character, what with the jam on FK until you connect a random kick, Cyclone kick xx SOB, combo friendly (not to the level of say, Mags or Wolverine, but he gets the job done), etc. Oh, and he builds hella meter for Cable.

Cable comes in, zones like no other, especially with Capcom backup. If you call in Cyke and connect, it’s a free AHVB.

Capcom should never see the light of day on point, theoretically. But if he does get snapped in or something, you can do fun stuff like ground chain into Cable-a xx Captain Corridor/Storm/whatever the hell the name of the QCF+KK super is. Plus there’s always the psychic Corridor xx Captain Sword, but be careful on the timing. Sometimes, the Sword will just cut right through them and you get no damage out of it.

^Cable/Cyke is really good for beginners. I really have been seeing alot of low tier teams lately, and alot of things work pretty well that ive never really thought of before. As a fairly strong magneto player, and one of the few at the local arcades, I guess a few of the newer ppl have, although not entirely, dedicated building their low tier teams strictly for combat against high tier.

Obviously cable is a good choice, because of the lower learning curve offensively, i will say however, that playing cable defensively against mag/storm can be pretty challenging, especially if you lose your AAA. I think thats why ive been seeing so much cable/cyke/capcom, and team AAA shit like that in general. Its no secret that cable gets crossed up, guard broken, and thrown all day long without an assist, his game relies too much on normal jumping to combat magz without AAA.

People have said sent is not beginner friendly, but i really think he can be if you concentrate on the right things. Drones just do so much for a good cable that all these people learning Cable/AAA/AAA should really pick up sent. Not to mention even basic comboes with sent/cyke or sent/cap are like, hella nasty. We need more begginers to pick up sent, people that cant/dont play with him, cant/dont play extremly well against him, and so many good ppl use sent that its a big barrier between beginners and ppl that have been playing for awhile. I feel bad when i outzone and merc noob teams with sent. They really should have a better idea what they are up against.

I think the hangup with Sent is that people feel like they absolutely have to know how to fastfly and air throw in the corner. That’s why I didn’t start Sent until earlier this year. Hell, I still can’t FF, but I learned basic zoning and stomping strats and scrub out wins with the only combo I know: c.HK (2 hit) xx LP rocket punch xx HSF into whatev depending on how far away I am.

Actually, what is the basic Sent/Capcom combo?

S.HK + capcom, sj.lp, sj.lp, qcf+ lp

I’ve seen plenty of Sent/CC/Doom…not a bad team…trade either for cyc or cable…yeah, sent really is not bad for beginners, he has his strengths and weaknesses in that sense. the high damage, high defense, super armor, and stuff really help

s.rh,call capcom sj fp xx dp+fp

I see this one a lot. Do you call Capcom with the launch, or immediately after?

with the launch, u have to release the assist but before u super jump regardless.

edit for grammer/clearity: u can’t call an assist on the ground and go into super jump mode and release it so regardless of what u choose to do u will have to release the assist button before u jump.

i know for storm u can launch+call storm sj.HP, LA upforwards LS

I think if you call capcom after the launch, but before the super jump, you still get the “wall” effect of the FP knocking them into the AAA, so you can sj.FP DPRP, or whatnot.

Im not 100% but i dont think you would get that if you Launch+CC, i pretty much stick with FF though so correct me if im wrong.

Edited to say:
I was thinking… and that would be a really badass midscreen sent combo actually, cause you would still get the flying screen, opponent at the wall c.FP… which is a good place to be in with sent  And you would get the hella damage from RH, FP, CC, RP.
