I live in Philly, but really only keep up with the DOA series.
Whatup all. I live in West Philly, been to 40th and Spruce (University Pinball) and am very experienced in Marvel and Tekken. I know Bryheem and Sanford (2 REALLY GOOD MARVEL PLAYERS) and got my ass kicked by both, but Im no scrub. I can show you a thing or two. I also played a guy named Stretch who’s pretty good. Don’t know if I played any1 from here yet, but Im a big black guy about 6’3 260. But I know many many more very good Marvel and Tekken players all across the country. I’ve been to tournaments all over for Marvel and Tekken, most recently in Ohio about a month ago. What all that means is I’ll give you good competition.
I also play SF Anniversary, and some 3st. See ya’ll up there sometime, I really can’t go there too much as Im still job hunting.
Hey does anybody in the area play GG Slash? I’d really love to get into a 2D fighter, but SF is just too slow and awkward for me and MvC2 is broken. I’m looking for anyone willing to teach, let me know!

there’s an mvc2 scene hidden beneath the rubble in philly… flex, trap12, julien, bryheem, brandon, staNford, mike kensou, true warrior, jermain, roger, josh wong, me… etc… just camp out 40th for a couple weeks and u’ll be graced…
people have broken it no more than any other fighting game.
Marvel is highly unbalanced but far from actually being broken. If anything is a very fun vs series game. If you wanna get into a 2d fighter play super turbo or melty blood. I am able to travel with in reason to philly on a regular basis. If anyone wants to hook up PM me so we can set something up. I play melty blood mainly along with super turbo. But i can play other games such as 3s and the tekken, doa and alpha series

with 5 machines and ridiculous comp philly is the nicest arcade in the country to play marvel hands down. I’ve been to some other serious arcades but they don’t have shit on the 5 marvel machines, 3 with p360s, stools, plenty of room (compared to CTF), you can smoke, and there is a jukebox that plays loud ass music.
Seriously if you don’t like marvel at UP there is something wrong with YOU. :looney:

i’d actually like to see them swap the other two marvels out for 3s and something else. I don’t really care what though.
Jeeze, I didn’t know making such a statement (a truthful statement, there are high tier and low tier tournaments for a reason) would piss everyone off. I actually have -17 rep here, wtf?
Anyway, I like a lot of fighting games, including MvC2. Just not my cup of tea for playing competitively.
