I feel like even having qual tournaments is lame. It’s leaving too much to chance in an unrealistic situation. At first when Joe had a spot, the qualifiers would have been a tournament to see who could win a tournament without Rufus, Rog, or Sagat… Who cares who can win that tournament?
Justin- it’s too late now, but you should have just picked 5. It’s the best way to ensure the best team. I think you just don’t wanna make people mad.
So after Eric/Joe/Nestor win the first tournament, the 2nd will basically be a low tier tournament.
And what if no Sagat wins one of these pseudo tournaments? No EC Sagat rep? Dumb…
I say Justin and Art get spots. Maybe give Nestor a spot, but not for Sagat. Give him Rog/Viper. Even if Nes’ Sagat is best, opportunity cost dictates letting Eric/Joe play Sagat.
That leaves one spot. Let niggas play for that.
But it’s too late for all that.
I say let art play for his spot. If he really is that good, he should have no problem winning a tournament.
Otherwise, you should just pick a sagat and a balrog, b/c that’s probably what’s going to show up.
