[Name withheld]: I mention this only because it makes me even more appreciative of the kindness and hospitality of all the total strangers I met this weekend. When a friend of mine mentioned that he was chilling in a particular room, and that I should come over, I did. Unlike at every other tiny room, crammed with men both asleep and awake, I was not immediately welcomed with open arms. [Name witheld] stood inside the door, impeding my entrance to a very large room with relatively few people in it. I asked if my friend was inside, and he said “No.” I told him “He’s right there; I’m looking right at him.” A few seconds passed with nothing else said. “Well, can I come in?” The response: “There’s a lot of guys in here, man.” I respected his decision and have no hard feelings, but I wanted to relate just how truly thankful I am for those who welcomed me without hesitation. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
