Dynasty Warriors: Hokuto no Ken - Fist of the Northstar

They said that they wanted to craft a game that made Hokuto no Ken a bit more “believable”.

To translate for this situation, a lot of the guys that used to be friggin’ giants, like Zeed, Heart, Raoh and Kiba Daioh have been reduced in size.

I don’t really see this as that all that bad. After all, Mr. Heart was shorter than he usually is in the ASW fighter too. But that was pretty much the only way to make him a viable character addition. 8D

I’m definitely getting this game

No, no, no, I’m fine with that; IT’S HEART’S SHADOW I’M TALKING ABOUT!

I see the PS3 version on gamefaqs says this

Hokuto Musou (Limited Edition)

Anybody know what comes with it ?

It better come with a downloadable version of ASW HnK. :bluu:

Ah. My mistake then!

That’s the usual Koei “Treasure Box” that they do with Musou releases in Japan. What’s in it, we don’t know.

For that price tho, I’d want a DVD of Ken and Raoh teaching me Hokuto Shin Ken I can use in every day life!

Ohhhh , damn his shadow! :wtf: Not that is something to complain about.

As for the Treasure Box, I’m thinking either extra content like extra footage of some sort. But what does the Dynasty Warriors Treasure Box contain?

And Raoh Gaiden 1 and 2 on blu-ray.

Just as I thought. Pants my ass. That’s thigh boots/leggings with a thong. How the hell does that look like pants?

Tell these ninjas Rhio thats straight Ass that can swallow up a g string

sigh and to think Kenshiro once had that on lock. A shame.

I’ll admit it. From the low res scan that was originally posted, I thought they were going for a look that Mamiya had in one of her older color schemes that Hara/Buronson had for her, which was indeed flesh-toned pants. That same color scheme, with the white and pink jacket, was one of the colors used in the ASW game.

Of course, I underesimated Koei’s desire to turn Mamiya into this game’s bit of fan service. Ah well…

I hope it’s not just me that…after having seen so many HnK/PS2 videos (still wanting to import), that seeing ‘gameplay’ of this version…looks slow and completely uneventful.

Anyone else? I really hope there’s a shit-ton more moves/specials. I mean, I know there probably is, but I mean a ***lot ***more.

I noticed other Koei games with treasure box have stuff like

Sengoku Musou
Action figure of the warrior Sanada Yukimura
Omega Force’s Strategy Guide
Illustration collection
Soundtrack CD
Set of character cards

Harukanaru Premium Desktop Photo Album
Special Message Audio CD
Harukanaru Movie UMD-Video
Special UMD Slipcase
Crystal pendant inside a clear jewel box

Koei will also offer the Sengoku Musou 4 Treasure Box. Priced at 11,865, this includes a copy of the game, the special Classic Controller Pro, a mini figure, an original soundtrack CD, and an art/strategy book.

If it has this sort of stuff, I will be VERY HAPPY

Also A fist of the north star Treasure Box edition will accompany the standard and while the contents of this box have yet to be announced, KOEI has said that it will go for 13,440 yen.

So how many Dynasty Warriors games does this make? Serious question. I would like to know the answer.

This really doesn’t count brecause the gameplay and style of the game is seriously different from the others. You can tell this game took a lot of time since this one of the most if not the most respected Manga in Japan.

More scans from last week’s Famitsu reveal have been posted online.

Pretty much the only thing that disappoints me at the moment? It’s confirmed that Ken’s 3rd stage takes him immediately to meeting up with Mamiya and Rei so that they can fight against the Fang Clan. Unfortunately, it seems like they’re going to be skipping right over Jackal and Colonel/God Army (which were the next arcs in the original manga) in the process.

If they’re willing to do these kinds of skips, I wonder what that means for the likes of Amoeba and etc. I REALLY wanted to fight Devil Rebirth and Colonel!

Gameplay still looks terrible to me =/

…and I’ll still buy it :lame:

To be fair, even the likes of DMC can look “terrible” in the wrong hands. And that’s about as much as we can confirm from what we’ve seen too, because the guy playing the game in the demo shots made the game look slow and clunky.

I say, wait until we get footage that may do more to showcase the game’s possible subsystems and other things more in depth. This could stand to be the best thing to happen to the Musou brand since the Musou Orochi stuff, in a lot of ways.

@CyberAkuma- Umm do you know what the first 2 stages will be? Any chance they’ll merge the Godland and Shin arcs together?
