Dynasty Warriors: Hokuto no Ken - Fist of the Northstar

Hey guys, what are the best Extrinsic Skills for Ken?

List of Extrinsic skills

I’m currently using Potency (Karma for strength increase) Dedication (Focus gauge automatically goes up slowly) and Stun (gets enemies into meridian shock faster)

After I max out my strength, I’m planning to switch it up with either Ferocity (Hurt enemies even when they block) or Debilitate (enemies in meridian shock cannot block)

Which one is better? I’ve completed all of the lower Meridian Chart for Ken, I just need to do the upper part now.
This game is awesome.

Thanks.

I always went with Divinity/Potency/Resolve until I maxed out either DEF or ATK. After one is maxed, then I go for Ferocity just to grind down those blocking commanders and Stun to take out bosses faster.

Cool cool, sounds good.

I just beat Souther. The cutscenes were great, but it would have been EPIC if they used the music from the OVA.

For the spikey armored commanders, how do you guys usually kill them? I usually use the Metal ball tearing musou, and the 7 stars musou. I don’t waste my spirit gauge (or was it focus gauge… either way, I mean I don’t waste those 3 bars on the side)

Plat’d this ish last week.

Satisfying.

As I see it.

So…this game is amazing. It pretty much is not DW as far as legend mode goes and that is awesome. Nerdgasm through and through but I had one question: are the wisdom skills just there for comestic value or do they add anything other than the effects?

They make it so you don’t have to level Toki up after his campaign, if you’re not into him, for your Ujoken kills. Equip Raoh with Ujoken, hit up Rei’s Dream Mode: 2nd Chapter, and get it done.

Otherwise, no.

As I see it.

That explanation made no sense.

Sigh.

You are going to get the Hokuto kills and Nanto kills just by going through the game in Legend mode and Dream mode.

You have Ken and Raoh in both, and Rei in both with Shin and Souther in Dream mode.

Those will get you the 5000 needed for those kills.

Toki is the only one I remember giving Ujoken kills from his own moves, and his Legend mode is short - you are probably not going to have 5000 Ujoken kills by the end of it and his Dream mode.

Which is why I say: equip Ujoken on a leveled up Raoh, hit the [square] button, pulling up chapter select in Dream mode, and use Raoh equipped with Ujoken in Rei’s second chapter of Dream mode, because you can milk that bitch for kills all day long if you so desire.

I hope that helped.

As I see it.

Just got my first Platinum with this game…so good.

So why do I need 5000 skills with any one style?

See the above post by Geese.

As I see it.

Yeah…Outlaw is quite broken.
Even from the jump.

I just finished Legendary mode.

Man… Raoh’s last form is so freaking strong. I maxed out my normal Defense (maxed out without the karma growing defense) and he killed me in like 3 hits. It was crazy. I had to cheap him out with 2x Heavenly Destruction

If you bought the Jagi treasure level DLC, it’s quicker to equip Ujoken on Raoh and use Equine Fury to run over goons in that level. So easy to get 1400-1500 kills in 15-20 minutes.

What makes Outlaw broke? He’s got a decent C2, C3, and C4 (C4’s kinda slow, though), but I can’t find anything that screams “Top Tier” like Raoh’s C4 or everything about Rei.

Dynasty Warriors are fun as shit. The only problem is that they are exactly same as the previous one.

I havnt played since 3 so i think im due to buy one, but i have no idea what hokuto no ken is.

gives stink eye

Traditional DW games may tell the same story, but each iteration has had substantial changes in the gameplay, characters, and fighting styles from one to the next.

Hokuto no Ken is one of, if not the manliest anime series ever created. Wikipedia a brief synopsis, then watch some episodes on Hulu.

Hokuto no Ken is the story about Jesus’ little brother who goes around killing people for stealing his girlfriend and generally being assholes. Jesus also kills people, but he does it in a groovy hippy way.

Hulu - Search

here you go, my hotlink to Hulu automatically goes into the seasons of the show. Haven’t had the heart to change it.

Outlaw can run with enemies the same as Roah and Ken. Meaning he is invincible while he does damage to those he rams into. I heard his sigs are quite good all around and his play dead special move grants complete invincibility until he hits the ground and has a high chance of putting enemies into meridian shock and can’t be blocked.

What? The play dead move is a offensive tool? Dammit, I’ve been playing him all wrong, then.

And outlaw’s throw is too good…almost always puts his enemies in meridian shock.
I poked Raoh in the butt.
