Personally, I loved the game. The ability to pull off some devastating moves. Some people were questioning Kenshiro’s speed since people were expecting like “Ninja Gaiden” speed of killing your opponents. But in comparison with Rei, he’s too quick and once you upgrade your character, you’ll care more about the power than the speed. There is also some replay value once you redo the levels, they become much tougher to beat the second time around.

But I am more of a Die-Hard Hokuto Fan.

Confirmed:

Tecmo Koei has told Eurogamer that Fist of the North Star will retain the Japanese voice-overs when is heads west.

A spokesperson for the company told us fans had been “begging” for this. Fist of the North Star will also be fully voiced in English.

Tecmo Koei’s Fist of the North Star spins the Japanese Manga with a Dynasty Warriors twist. You’re a hard-as-nails karate bloke with a bare chest and a weird hand. And you’ll be punching through droves of enemies and racking up bloody combos galore.

Fist of the North Star will be released in the autumn on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Fist of the Northstar: Ken’s Rage will have Japanese voice option for the EU/US port…I didn’t even think that the game would be dubbed in English.

yeah the game is BOMB, glad i completed it before basara 3 dropped in japan (friend imported). i was pumped when i got mamiya on the bike, rough riders all day.

Unless things have changed that much, the PS3 version is a bit better in the way of load times and overall performance. 360 is still passable though, if you really care about Achievements that much.

Overseas players are eagerly awaiting Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage, the updated, localized version of Hokuto Musou, which is due for release in North America and Europe in early November. Now Japanese players can eagerly await it too. Tecmo Koei announced today that it will be reverse localizing Ken’s Range for Japan under the name Hokuto Musou International.

Set for release exclusively on PlayStation 3, Hokuto Musou International has all the features of the overseas version of Hokuto Musou, including the added violence, new stages of play, and English voiceovers. Those who simply must have Japanese will be pleased to know that a Japanese voice track is included as well.

Hokuto Musou International will be released on December 2 at ¥3,990, or about have the cost of the original version.

Hmm Ken’s voice is OK, but Souther/Thouzer… Jagi is OK “Say my name, bitches!” works, lol.
Maybe because this series is from the 80s they’re trying to make the English voices sound like they are 80s-ish?
