OMFG, SO MUCH FUN. Got into a group with 3 other people, a mage, a gunner, and a slayer, the mage had watched the anime, and I shouted PAHTY CALL after we had gotten done with vestibule. She started cracking up and the other two wanted to know what we were talking about. So we got them turned onto watching the anime, the gunner left, and so me, the slayer, and the mage went to castellan’s chamber, and I shouted PAAAHHHTTTY CALLL right before sieghart’s room and we made up a skit:
“PAAHTTY CALLLLL”
Mage: YEAH
Slayer: LOL
So we’ve finally made it to Sieghart’s room
Mage/Slayer: YESSSSSSSS
Do we fear the light castellan?
Mage/Slayer: NOOOOO!!!
Slayer: should we?
We’re gonna go kick Sieghart’s ass right?!?!?!?
Them: YESSSHH!!!
Who are we?!??!
Mage: PARTY!

We then kicked sieg’s ass for an s ranking, and then went into floating, got another slayer, did Party Call right before the evil eye, and got him turned onto the anime too XD
Dunno if this has been posted or not but opening up port 5403 on your router helps A LOT with the lag you get in parties.
Try it for yourself.
I have had virtually no lag in a party when everyone involved is forwarded on ports 7101-7103.
Also, I hit 30 with my Monk this morning and it’s like breathing for the first time. Sway + Chopping Hammer is godlike, I don’t know how I gutted it out this far without backstep.
so i tried setting up DMZ, forwarding ports 5403, and ports 7101-7103 but nothing is working. 90% of parties still not connecting.
any way to find exactly which ports are being used to connect to parties?

7101-7103 are supposed to be the peer to peer ports. If you set up DMZ correctly there should be nothing on your end preventing it except your ISP. I have no clue how that could be creating a problem, sorry.

For those playing on a pad, how did you map your item buttons?
i use a logitech rumblepad 2. but i’ll give you my setup as if i were using a ps3 controller:
z > square
x > X
c > circle
skill 1 > triangle
and then the four trigger buttons to four more skills. i thought about setting triangle to space bar but not enough skill commands use space bar for me to set it.
i found out my party connect errors are due to my isp. it has to be since i connected my pc directly to cable modem and i still get the same errors. damn time warner/road runner.
