I asked my friend on a PvP Ranger guide (I’m assuming you’re going for a PvP guide?), and this is what he pretty much told me:
[00:25] <wuku> jack spike 5 (no cancel), rising shot 5 (no cancel), windmill 10 or master (no cancel, no raising), punisher 1 (no cancel), Aerial fire 0, Steep slide 0, Mach Kick 10 or master + cancel, Pan Revolver Master, Gun Guard 0 or Master (depending on ur style), Fastest Gun 5.
[00:26] <wuku> Headshot Master, Cancel Headshot OR Western Fire M (choose one of them), Revenger 0 or 1, Air Raid 1 or M (depending on ur style), MASTER all Death by Revolver, Multi Headshot, Moving shot, Wild shot, Death Hawk.
[00:27] <wuku> Awaken Passive - ignore
[00:27] <wuku> Awaken Active ‘Skud Genocide’ - I may master but for pvp, only 1 is ok
[00:27] <wuku> ok that’s all about it
Pretty much when you hit 18, you’re not going to go all out on spending your SP; you’re going to be saving it later for some really strong techniques. Also, be sure to master Physical Critical Hit from Seria. Back Step and Back Step Cancel are also mandatory. My friend’s judgment on the game is pretty good. Back when he lived in Korea, he had multiple level 60s on the Korean servers. I’ve been following his advice on how to build a Battle Mage and asked him last night about a Ranger.
Good luck!
Personally, I would say this game is not for you if you want to only play twenty minutes a day. Like someone else posted, Nexon America currently doesn’t want us to hit the level cap any time soon and not all the content is available, so they’re making the amount of XP required to level atrocious past the early twenties. With that, not using up all your fatigue points every day means you’ll fall behind pretty quickly.
Click on the + sign and find your DFO.exe. It will be added to the program’s list.
Click on DFO (in the window) and then Settings icon (6th button on the menu).
Manually set your Height and Width (my desktop is 1680x1050, so I use 1280x960).
Make sure “Use Windowed Mode” is checked and click OK.
Click on the Play icon (the first button on the menu) to activate the program.
Launch DFO from the website as usual, and presto! It’s windowed at a custom resolution.
No more //full and //window command hassles and looking at small sprites!
The program will continue to run in the background, so make sure to run it again if you like to turn off your computer and check the Play button before you launch DFO.
Have fun guys~
(It is a third party program, but it does not tamper with the game in any way since all it does is just resize your window. It is Hackshield friendly!)

Could you, Spirit Juice, ask your friend for a good Brawler build? I saw some videos and loved how they get guaranteed mount damage! I just need a cookie cutter to see where my points would be going.
i got halfway thru 24. getting thru lvl 23 sucked because i had to grind… there was hardly any quests to do. Oh, Also I got the Sky Castle. It’s pretty sweet.
I just got a nen master at lvl 18. Decided to make her just for the hell of it. I haven’t played my lvl 28 striker in a while. Though I might try to get her to 30 later. That’s when they actually get a vertical attack. Fighter’s feel like a lot of work at lower levels against some other classes since they get vertical attacks and ranges a lot earlier.
got bored with my Spitfire (avalonstar) and moved on to my fighter (Mishka) as my main.
currently level 20 and a Striker… i still have a full fatigue bar but i didn’t even plan to use it tonight. I just played pvp for awhile then logged off.
I also want to request a striker guide… though i probably already have the jist of the class. But more importantly, I want to know what kind of weapon I should be using. I keep hearing mixed advice on wearing gauntlets or boxing gloves.
I think I saw you a few days ago in pvp. You probably saw me lose to gunners pretty badly (It takes all the time for me just to try to fight one).
I’ve been trying boxing gloves and gauntlets. The problem with gauntlets is that I think my crushing blow is too low to follow up. Whenever I try it, 80% they can follow up on me if I try to follow-up. So I just tried some unique claws to see how it works out but it didn’t work too well. The video below is what I try to see what the striker is aiming for, but I think the good stuff comes later.

I’m just playing my nenmaster as of now in brief amounts because I have lots of crap to do (I probably use not even half my fatigue), so I’ll actually play my striker later. Though I’m disappointed I can’t hit anyone with bone crusher at lvl 1 because it’s so slow. I already screwed up my build with too much hammer kick :lame:.
edit: On a less self depressing note witches do got that magneto shit going on.

Until you get to like 30 or something, you just need backstep cancel. Just get that uppercut move (is it a dash attack?) and then x, x, backstep cancel x,x, x, backstep cancel, etc.
Leap: 0 / 1 (this active buff’ will make you jump higher for short period of time. good for avoiding AoE skills, but don’t overuse it)
Quick Standing: 1 / 1 (must for every character)
Phys. Critical: 0 or M / 0 or M (optional. mastering this skill will increase your phys. critical rate by 10%.)
From Albert: (after completing the skill quest)
Neck Snap: 0 / 0 or 1
Thunder Suplex: 0 or 1/ 0 or 1 (adds lightning effect and a little bit of magic dmg to suplex)
From Pungjin:
Grappler
Suplex: 1 / 1 or 5+C (a must for any fighter class. a good fighter should know when to use suplex)
Iron Physique: 0 / 0 ~ 10 ( increases phys. defense stat. don’t really need if you upgrade your armors, still a good option for pvp)
Seismic Punch 0 / 1 ~ M (performs a quick jump forward and strikes the ground. When the level is low, the delay after the strike is extremely long, so you should avoid using it. As the skill levels higher, the delay decreases. If 15~more, you’ll probably see a 10000+ (direct punch hit + aoe) dmg. Highly recommended for PvP based brawlers. Oh. no super armor.
Nen Master
Doppleganger: 0 / 4 ~ 10 (creates multiple phantoms Extremely useful in PvP. you can block enemy’s escape path, fend off enemies from haste fairies in tavern map, save you from few bullets, etc…i think 4~ 5 is okay for most people. Hardcore pvpers: 9~10)
Brawler
Helter Skelter (Sand Throw): 5 / 5 (nerfed to ground =<!..but it’s actually one of few ranged skills for fighters. may come in handy when you face those gunners spamming gatling guns. phys. dmg)
Explosion Hook: 5+C / 5+C
Claw Mastery: 10 / 0 or 10 (some people use tonfas instead of claws…if you use tonfa for main pvp weapon, no need for mastery)
Apply Poison: 10 / 10
Double Throw: 0 or 1 / 0 (active buff. only for disc spammers! Net->double throw->throw disc->lol?)
Hidden Sting: 5+C/ 5~M / C (not only it inflicts bleeding status, it also decreases hit recovery rate. But once the enemy’s launched into the air or knocked to ground, hit rate is back to normal)
Block Buster: M+C/ M+C (stun stun stun. direct hit is physical dmg. fragments are magic dmg. if you hit back attack w/ blockbuster, stun rate increases by 100%)
Crouch: 1 / 1
Mount: M / M
THE NET: M / M
Provoke Call? : M / M
Crazy Vulcan : M/ 0~M
Junk Spin: M / M
Blood of Poison : 0~ M/ M
Poison Dance: M/ 0~M
Striker
Hammer Kick : 1 / 5 + C
Muse’s Uppercut: 5~10 + C / 10 + C
Tiger Chain Strike: 0 or 1 /0 or 1
Aerial Stomp: 5 ~ M / 5 ~ M
Spinning Kick: 1 / 1 or 5+C
M is for mastering the skill, and C is for cancel skill, which requires 50sp each.
First few seconds has the build for a blade master in a Korean league, he’s pretty good. Doesn’t show all the skills he has but you can kinda guess at them (like ~1 point into leap) and there’s plenty of points left over to work with.
No problem, and thank you for the Brawler build! If anyone else needs a windowed mode resizer, check this post.
Wow, he is pretty badass! I wonder how his build came out… It looks like he focused points for landing that one massive combo, but it’s definitely hard to tell.
Carrying Space is a constant issue for me. Rather than selling anything, I’d like to donate them to some SRKers. Here’s the list, it consists of Priest weapons and some Heavy Armor. If ya peep anything you like just leave me an in game msg (send it to “Ulrik”) and I’ll try to mail you the item as soon as possible. Didn’t know there was an SRK thread until recently so I’ll be sure to post anything else I’d like to give.
wasn’t too specific with these but I think you get a bonus if you wear all three pieces. Good stuff to have as a Slayer/Priest early on in the game!
