Dungeon Fighter (new MMO from Nexon)

I was expecting a patch when logging on but nothing so far.

I thought they definitely would because some classes become drastically different like all the priest classes after patch getting new moves and different basic combos. I’m definitely thinking we would get something soon though, they got a lot of content sitting around so it’s not like they are creating brand new things.

edit: item shop coming oct 8th. I think open beta ends sometime after that because they said anything you buy in open beta carries onto the live launch.

Die and use a token right before you kill the boss.

Battle Mages are broke.
Priests are good, but in no way broke.

I mean, I can beat scrubs all day thinking so and so is broke, don’t mean there good.

i 2nd syxx

i just need to get back air pumpkin and then i can fly and get pumpkin splash damage

ride on

Have fun in Vestibule of Darkness if you haven’t been there already.

It’s still in open beta: http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/News/View.aspx?boardNo=101&contentNo=005g5&pageIndex=1

Anyways, fuck yeah item shops! And fuck yeah more coins! http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/News/View.aspx?boardNo=101&contentNo=005g6&pageIndex=1

Also nexon’s response to all the changes from kDnF, Arad Senki, and whatnot: http://forum.nexon.net/DungeonFighterOnline/forums/3350756/ShowThread.aspx

I’m finally done with running Vestibule of Darkness on my Battle Mage. Seriously, fuck that piece of shit. Why hasn’t it been removed from the game yet or at least nerfed severely? That place is completely RNG and isn’t tuned correctly at all. Oh, you’re melee? You missed? Random super armor activated? Hit. Rinse repeat. Oh, you missed the boss? He randomly activated super armor? Hit. Death combo. Rinse repeat.

Has anyone received their 20 life tokens for reaching lv 18 and complete the subquest or know when they’re going to give them out?

lol ya kind of a pain especially when you break em down and they attack right away

im prolly gonna be playing tomorrow you guys hit me up i need some lugaru claws so ill buy em off of you guys!

anyway to make the screen bigger?

alt+tab out and lower resolution?

anyone know if there’s any ranger guides?

i’ve managed to unlock kings road on puppet so i’ve manage to S that place a number of times. here’s some advice which helped me a great deal.

don’t get hit - yes easier said than done right? getting hit effects your grade at the end so try to minimize hits. some tips on how to deal with the enemies:

dealing with gunners and mages - always make sure there are no enemies behind you esp the gunners and mages. do not stay in the same horizontal plain as them for too long if you are fighting them. if you’re a gunner just wait for them to move into your plain so you get the first shot. if you’re a fighter and have suplex then just run suplex them all day but never approach them on the same plain, always come from above/below. for me run suplex worked best especially with the mutant gunners who tend to dodge often, if my suplex misses then i just continue running right pass them without getting shot.

dealing with puppeteers - i’d say it’s mandatory to have back hop cancel. try to restrict yourself to doing your normal cancelable x combo as you can cancel at anytime when you see the rock/ice summon below your feet. it’s also important to stay where you can see your feet at all times, never have your feet hidden behind an object or enemy/party member.

avoid triggering more enemies - i believe some statues start immobile and come to life when you’re close to them…not quite sure. if that’s the case, stay away from them if you can help it and don’t need the extra room to deal with the current enemies on screen. there’s also one room that has a group of statues enclosed by dragon sculptures. needless to say don’t free them, defeat the puppeteers first before taking them on.

don’t work with idiots - self explanatory. they will contribute to hit count.

aside from avoiding hits you’re gonna have to build style and tech points.

building style points - try to work with a another person to help lengthen your juggles…comes in handy when you need a relaunch. with the gunner use a fast gun (i used a bow gun) and omit the final shot in your normal x combo. the final shot takes a while to activate and i might cause you to miss a juggle opportunity. use the grenade skill paired with your normal x combo to launch into juggle.

building tech points - haven’t a clue. just manages to build itself when i’m working for the style points. i heard hitting enemies in the back when they’re focused on another player or overkilling them will contribute to this score.

with the above advice i managed to clear all the puppet related quests (style, time, hits, grade, etc) on my first try with a 2 person team no coins nor items needed. just remember to be patient, that’s what it comes down to. all the enemies are really predictable, as long as you’re concentrating and not too focused on thrashing enemies over avoiding damage then you should be fine. good luck hope this helps.

Windmill = win.

No.

Seems like everyone is really enjoying this game.

How many people on here are actually apart of the clan and has it been created yet?

this game is great… I can’t get enough.

From pvp to pve, its a great mix of MMo/Fighter and old school beatem up…For free!

skimming threads on nexon boards makes me dislike the game (us verson of it anyway) b4 even playnig. whats this about it becoming a grind fest? id like to be able to play 20 minutes daily and enjoy it which is what i can do with my library of fighters. this game looks too good to skip, i just dont want to grind 60 lvls to enjoy it.

i knew it was a bad idea to read any “official” boards… never turns out well and feels like a just read a spoiler from great show/movie. imma have to dl today and get addicted just so i can get rid of this distaste.

Anytime I look at that board I get a sick feeling but when I played this game it’s just too much fun. I never played the other versions but the base game is pretty damn fun even though we don’t have the bells and whistles. Though keep in mind that this is still open beta and they are still subject to change (they just moved from 1 token to 3 yesterday).

Ign SixMachine- striker lvl 28
Kikoken - nen master (wannabe) lvl 16

You shouldn’t even set eyes on that board. It is infested with trolls and retards that haven’t reached puberty.

Anyways, the whole grindfest concept is just on Nexon America’s decision (or drastic attempt) to make it not that easy to reach 60 levels. Trust me, if you saw the KR version requirements and your current EXP bar, the difference is astounding especially if you are around the late 20s. The experience rates you get on quests/dungeons are the same, its just how much you need to get to the next level. I think 24-25 on KR is a good 450-550k (can’t remember) but right now to get to 25, I have to have over 870k exp to get there.
