hmm? what about it.
cr.HK I meant. I want it to be 9 frames and 2 hits. Fuck Balrog and fuck focus attacks.
First hit on moving fists down and together, and second hit on pulling up for the launch.
LOL, it’s okay we got 3 frame jet upper to fuck balrog up with.
cr. HK is fine as is, imo. Surely no one here would complain about it getting better, but I don’t see it happening.
Brainpipe-
Yeah, I wish Dudley would be in SFxT simply because I would love to play a Dudley/Fox team. That would be too classy. Oh well, as long as Balrog doesn’t get in
It’s not fine. When do you ever use it outside of a meaty? Are you afraid of having a good poke that would simultaneously help alleviate Dudley’s focus bait status?
Anti airs against certain jump ins.
Okay yeah that too.
I use it at time to counter low pokes on people.
i use it on dudleys
hmm, cr.hk make it hit twice and have a lil more range and come out a tad bit quicker? 1st hit has the most range and 2nd hit hits in the middle glove kinda like a nerfed/buffed shoryuken hitting twice breaking armor. 1st hit a lil past the gloves and the 2nd hit middle of the gloves.
That would be one weird useful nerf/buff when I think about it cause of the nerf dmg for not hitting the full dmg off 1 hit but breaking armor and having a tad bit more range, coming out quicker so corner combos are easier to pull off.
More of a buff or nerf?
Definite buff. Ducking under armoured moves and focus attacks and going for a launch combo would be sweet. True his juggles would cause slightly less damage but he’d have many more opportunities to use his launcher if it became a better move. Dudley is kind of focus bait as is so I’d love it if this became a disgustingly terrifying focus punish.
I’m not saying I wouldn’t like it to be better but I think the change to cr. MK already helps his game out a lot. Of course I’d LOVE to see c. HK be better, but I just don’t see it happening. Besides, while cr. HK is minimally useful as a poke, if it connects your opponent is in for a WORLD of hurt. Off the top of my head I really can’t think of any other character in the game who can go into as much damage as Dudley off of a cr. HK. Taking it from 14F down to 9F and 2-hit would be one hella strong poke.
I’d love to see the rose be actually useful now by increasing it’s speed and causing hitstun for mixup potential.
The best buff to that cr. HK would be to make it like it is in 3rd strike…not a 2 hit move.
SFxT is a much better system for Dudley than SF4 because it allows you to juggle and actually juggle with things that should juggle. The only problem is that Shoryu’s are still probably extremely powerful, so the really scary part of juggling and resetting to a partner assisted meaty is not going to happen any time soon
If you want the Third Strike scoop, you just want more range which is fine. No one has crouching roundhouse that’s +1 on block.
This is a different game with different rules, where you can simply hold two buttons down and release to punish. Dudley has more problems outside of his cr.HK not being that good, and making it a faster, 2-hit move would very much help with those in one go.
I agree that Dudley has many problems outside of cr. HK, and the game engine itself being his main enemy. I feel his biggest problem is his insane push back on so many of his normals, that take you outside of pixel range to continue pressure.
You want pushback on some of those. You would eat very big combos if crouch forward and crouch roundhouse didn’t move you far away on block.
From what I had seen playing the version available at Evo, not only is it a system where it allows things that should juggle to juggle, but it also gives things that have no business juggling the ability to juggle. Which is actually really fun. I was messing around with Ken, and his overhead kick gave a ground bounce. DP’s are stronger in the sense that there is no limit to the juggles that you can do as long as you have sufficient meter. No hit stun scaling whatsoever in that build at least. But mashing DP’s through block strings simply doesn’t work the way it does in SF4 due to chain combo being real strings, so they are weaker in that regard.
Anyway, I don’t want to take this thread off topic. Hopefully Dudley might show up in Super Ultimate SFxT in a year or two.
I think we all know it’s going to be called Super-**Duper **SFxT
