Spacing thing.
After a duck upper in the corner if you dash right as the opponent starts falling you will cross them up. If you do it sooner or earlier you won’t. Against characters with normal wakeup you can delay just 1 frame and then you have a perfectly meaty overhead/cr.hk if they quick stand.
Hold up or up forwards and do neutral jump/forward jump j.hk (move is arbitrary) and you also get perfect meaty timing if they quick stand. Of course they can vary their wakeup timing a bit when they tech rise though.
So you can just whiff a cr.lp in these setups to make it not meaty but fast enough you won’t get counter-poked out of it. Then they can’t make it whiff by doing a delayed quick rise.
How… Im really confused about these frames. It says on standing HK we get - frames on block, but… how do we get advantage on the LK duck followup? Im sorry, im still new to this frame stuff. Does the Duck just cancel the - frames we get and give us advantage?
sHK into LK Duck is -3 on block, I don’t where you heard it wasn’t.
How can i beat out Bison’s LK’s with jabs then if im -3 on block?
You cannot, bison beats you if you do so he must be timing it wrong if its happening.
If you doing block strings/frame traps on bison, mix it up a shit load so you can sneak in empty ducks when he least expects it.
While im on the bison topic, how do you tell when PC is going to crossup? If you can reference to body parts crossing dudley or any type of helpful tip to know when, that would be great.
Don’t know about actual body parts, but isn’t the hitbox on the feet? Also, if you block the first hit can’t you just block expecting it’s going to cross-up?
i have never almost never seen a bison player that doesn’t do the cross up version.
If you see him do a psycho crusher just EX Jet Upper. Or Ducking if you want to be safe.
so do reversal EX JU or ducking if they trying to crossup PC on my wakeup?
i like blocking. ex dp has a tendency to turn into ex cc if you time it badly. reversal duck is prob a pretty safe option as auto correct won’t screw you over.
I didn’t know he meant cross-up as in Dudley is waking up. I would just block or if you need to do something duck.
I just tried this in training mode and you can’t duck regular psycho crushers.
I’ve been messing with OS’s for a little bit, and I’ve been looking over Gold Gunman’s’ youtube videos. A pretty decent OS he has is c.lk, [c.mk x2] so if they block, you get TC 2 and if they try and dash away you get the c.mk to knockdown, if they focus you knock them out of it with the TC. Sometimes it’s difficult to get the c.mk to come out so that it actually catches the backdash, but after messing with it, I found out that all you have to do is slightly delay the c.mk and the game picks the best option for you.
c.lk [slight delay] c.mk gives you what works best without the extra input. Easymode OS
