Just a question or two about Dudley.

Firstly, is there any reason to not use the target combos. They can’t be special canceled but they can be Red Focus and Ultra canceled. So if those are the two out comes you are after, is there a reason to not get there with target combos.

Then the issue I am having with Dudley is that I cant special cancel anything of his. Even in the trials. Is there a certain moment I need to be doing the cancels. I may have it wrong but should I not just do the special as soon as I have do the hit I want to cancel out of. I can’t say I have had an issue with this with any other character. I play Dudley in 3S and have no problem at all. And SFV cancels with other characters isn’t an issue either.

Off the top of my head:
cr.lp, cr.lk, cr.mp, st.hk are all special cancellable.

Make sure you are not trying to cancel out of a chain. ie. cr.lp xx cr.lp xx MGB won’t work, but cr.lp, cr.lp xx MGB will.

His target combos are useful for extending combos, hit-confirming, and frame traps.

Thanks man. That helps. I think I may have been chaining then. That video is insane. Is that one unblock-able combo or are the dudes he is palying against just guessing wrong with their block. I have played so little of Dudley in USF4 that I don’t even know whats going on there other than some odd buttons and his specials.

90% of them are true combos, but in a few of them he resets them with f.hk (overhead) to get extra damage.
