No, because he might do one of the high/low followups and hit you out of the cr.lp/throw. It’s not a punish unless it’s guaranteed.
sooooo yeah… I went into training and I cannot punish Ryu or Akuma’s sweep with ducking upper, not even ducking super.

I mentioned this already, but you can punish Shoto sweeps with Corkscrew Cross on block.
any good tips on playing a very good sim. like sabins sim. i have a tuff time getting in, the only thing i can do so far is fa to get close then just pressure sim
That’s dependent on spacing isn’t it? I wouldn’t expect a good shoto to throw out a sweep at a range you could punish with Corkscrew Cross. Also, Ken’s sweep is only -6 so it probably only works on Akuma and Ryu.

Cody’s U2 ‘Last Dread Dust’ – This ultra kicked my ass the first few times I saw it because:
- It beats both of Dudley’s ultras, and super even with counter timing for full (or almost full) damage!
- The attack of his ultra continues after the first initial burst, which faked me out when I tried to reverse after the burst, and got hit with a bunch more ultra and the animation… scrubbeh -_-; ANYWAYS.
On block you can reversal timing punish with:
St.RH xx whatever
U1 U2 or Super
For a counter you can use any version of Cross Counter! A few things to remember:
- The first hit of Cody’s U2 only does 23 damage if you absorb it with cross counter!!! But remember this effects how much damage you do back!
- Because the absorbed damage is so low this is best used if you want to avoid the chip damage as much as possible, Cody’s u2 does 97 chip dmg compared to the 23 absorbed! Is it worth taking the chip to punish with a full ultra or super or combo? You decide!
- Make sure you’re in range of the first hit or you will stand there looking dumb and eat a ton of damage.
- Don’t try to U2 off an EX Cross Counter unless Cody is in the corner, it only hits him twice for 88 dmg. So unless he’s ready to die off 88 dmg save the ultra for later.

You can ducking U2 also pretty easily, negates damage 100% woot!

If you won’t survive the damage when using Cross Counter on Blanka’s U1, you can use HP MGB to move under him and avoid all damage.

some punishes i found spending time in the lab.
Adon’s Jaguar Kick ( all versions) can be stuffed with a well timed Standing HK (no trade)
Cancel that into medium dodge and you’re in.
dont know if you guys know this but a lp machinegun blow beats ex psycho punisher by bison.
Juri:
Poorly spaced dive kicks: can be Rolling Thundered
Pinwheel (all versions except light pinwheel): Can be Rolling Thundered.

It works on ryu for sure! and don’t do it against akuma when he as ultra as he can mash out ultra after he sees the ultra freeze and cancel the sweet into ultra. I learned that last week, it wasn’t pretty :(.
Okay … long time lurker - first time poster. Someone had said they were having trouble vs Cammy and nobody has put any cammy stuff up. Well I had been having some trouble vs a local Cammy so I’ve been doing a little bit of testing on some punishes just to add to the collective information. It looks like shes rather unsafe with alot of moves so thats probably why people haven’t bothered to post any Cammy stuff because the match seems pretty fair in Dudley’s favor. Anybody feel free to correct me where Im wrong
Spiral Arrow… on block at best this move is -10 - against most versions you get Free cr. LP ( possibly vs all ) which means easy cr.lp x cr. lp x st. HK ex MGB all day or fw+mk
Quick spinning nuckle is plus frames on block and shes got some invauln~ frames at start up but theres many places to sneak in a cr.lp in the ending frames of the animation. I was able to hit confirm or block to a pretty good success on reaction. Im sure many players on here could do either ultra 1 or ultra 2 on reaction to this.
