Since I have sufficiently derailed this thread, time to ask a real question. CAN EX DUCKING GET THROUGH DEEP CROSS-UPS?!?!?!??!
I did enjoy using DeeJay in SSF4 now before I came across Dudley. Playing Dudley, DeeJay’s damage is like horribly low.
I heard Dudley’s bowtie got buffed. Confirm/deny?
I heard it got buffed to not being a clip-on.
Wait… did it? I hope they confirm it. I also heard his entrance is the same as 3s but I don’t know yet.
I haven’t seen any Deejay AE videos, yet.

I recorded the cr.lk cr.mp noodleman was talking about. I wanted to show a a combo off it so I didn’t really show rog doing it and getting beat on wakeup cause Im lazy heh. But you get the idea.

Yesterday I got some good games in with a decent Deejay. Was EX ducking out of all of his ambiguous crossup pressure on wakeup.
Everynow and then I autocorrected and got punished. A few times It autocorrected and I went under him and blocked.
I can’t quite tell, but I think EX ducking goes farther if you don’t do a straight or upper, but I think I was hallucinating on that one.
EX ducking is proving to be a welcome addition to Dudley’s wakeup options.
This went without saying I thought.
If you can cancel on frame 3 of EX Duck into upper or straight, I’m absolutely positive doing nothing would carry you further, especially since there’s videos out there of empty EX ducks going what looks like as far as LK or MK duck.
I’d burn a stock any day to get out cross-ups for free. What else are you going to use it for when Dudley wakes up? EX Jet Uppercut (LAWL)?

I guess I just never thought about it. Most of the times I was using it before, I had been using it to do a straight or upper and it goes nowhere. Only yesterday, when I got to use it constantly against that deejay player, did it catch my attention that it seemed to be going different distances depending on what you do.
I’ve also barely seen anyone use it on video so far. So maybe my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me then. I’ll be putting more attention towards experimenting with it this week.
playing Super at home makes me miss EX Ducking.
I keep cracking and going back to console super every now and then when I can’t go out. Makes me miss everything about AE Dudley. Been trying to pick up a new character when I play on console, but I don’t really want to play anyone but Duds.
This is why I can’t find an alternative character because Dudley’s just too fun.

I just really, really like being able to avoid fireball chip on wakeup for free. As well as big combos and fast walk speeds. I’d like to play Guy and Ken more, but they walk too slow for my tastes. I already play a small amount of Cammy, and tried Akuma a while, but I’m just too lazy to learn the subtleties of the vortex.
I’ll probably just start playing Cammy online… Until the DLC hits and then I will gladly stick to Dudley. Until then, at least my area has the luxury of access to AE.
Yup, Europe sucks, Finland sucks even more. Not a single arcade left in Finland. I just wish they would announce and release the freaking DLC already, Capcom is so slow with everything and Ono is just trolling constantly.
