I tried plinking it today and it failed every time. It wasn’t an official change anyway was it?

It was.But that does’nt mean it’s link comboable in non-counter hit situations.They said it has 2 more active frames, and we belive are the last 2 startup frames were turned into active frames, as the do not match the move’s animation, meaning it would have ,theoretically, 8 frames of startup, so not comboable from jabs.If you wanna try and combo into it, try from Counter Hit st.mp and Counter Hit f.mk.

Meh, I don’t think it’s worth learning to confirm counter hits for that. Rather just hit the big combos and resets after counter hits. Counter Hit f.Mk to f.Hk is a sweet frame trap/reset.

Random thing my friends and I discovered, Versus the twins - their palm attacks are projectile classed hitboxes. It means you can on reaction duck the hit, if it’s a fake you’ll have time to block/tech or straight/upper them for their trouble.

stHK on block is exactly the same. Blockstun and hitstun are different values they can change separately in SF4. To make stHK safe on block (it’s -3 on block in SSF4), they reduced recovery 3 frames, so it’s 0 on block. stHK on hit would’ve been +5 so they reduced hitstun by 3 to keep it +2.

Since blockstun is the same, stHK LK Duck on block is still -3.

stHK hitstun was the same duration as an LK Empty Duck which was 20 frames. stHK xx LK Duck was +2 on hit, making it so good for a reset into throw or overhead or crLK. If hitstun is 3 frames less, Dudley is at -1 instead of +2 after an LK Empty Duck if LK Duck is unchanged.

Everyone better get to practicing CH stHK stHK or CH stHK stLP stHK link to compensate for no more CH stHK xx Empty LK Duck stLP/crLP/stHK combos.

I don’t think Renegade plays Dudley at all.
fMK is +3 on block. fMK fMK is still +3 on block, not sure why you think the 2nd fMK would be different.
fHK having more range? Pretty sure the range buff is minuscule.
fMP on counter hit is not +8 so no EX Duck Straight

Ok, i see now that increasing blockstun would’ve had other implications, like making st.hk xx lk duck + on block.But i think we were better off if they just left the damn move how it was…They said they wanted to buff the move.Well, if this is a “buff” in their opinion, i’d MUCH rather have the “nerfed” version, thank you.

Not sure how stHK xx LK Duck was in terms of frames in 3S but to me, Capcom seems short sighted and didn’t notice that stHK changes to hitstun would screw with other special moves and a lot of combos.

Oh damn, I don’t think Dudley has stHK xx MK SSB or CH stHK xx EX SSB anymore either. Does stHK xx LK SSB even connect on everyone? I don’t mind 20 less damage using LK SSB instead of MK SSB in a midscreen stun combo into Super as long as it works on everyone.

No, make every special hit 3 frames sooner and make every duck recover 3 frames sooner and cancel into straight or upper 3 frames sooner instead. Buff Dudley!

Or that, but reverting st.hk to it’s former self seems like a much more possible solution that buffing almost all his specials :smiley:

By the way I think the hit stun nerf on st.HK is bad. It has a little frame trap with St.HK, duck, st.HK to get that counter hit opportunity. It works on opponents like Gouken or other characters that don’t have any good 3-4 frame reversals or DPs. It’s fun to use but now I don’t think st.HK, CH st.HK won’t connect. Unless the CH hit stun stays the same.

Basically, Ch st.hk will do as much hitstun as a naked st.hk does today, which is bull.

Im happy the way he is. Shit, im gonna play him regardless so it doesnt matter. I hope this shit drops sooner than later on consoles. I really dont even have a desire to play super knowing that there is another (newer) version of 4 out there.

I wish you would read what I typed in its entirety because I typed out “we better learn CH stHK stHK or CH stHK stLP stHK link now because we can’t do stHK xx LK Empty Duck stLP/crLP/stHK in AE”.

Block stun is unchanged, hitstun and recovery lost 3 frames.

It’s still +2 on hit, which means it’ll be +4 on counter hit still. stHK xx LK Empty Duck +2 on hit is now -1, we lose CH stHK xx LK duck combos, st HK xx HK Duck Upper/Straight, stHK xx MK SSB and CH stHK xx EX SSB because the start up/recovery of these specials weren’t change to work with the less hitstun on stHK.

Fuck double posting. If this were to happen, Dudley’s the stronger Sagat from Vanilla. Dudley will break S-Tier.

Can that even be in range to connect even on block?“stHK stLP stHK” someone who’s playing AE needs to try it then. I doubt it works on Shoto’s or any medium/small hit boxes. Probably huge boxes like Zangief, Sagat, Abel, Cody, etc.

CH stHK stLP stHK should work in SSF4. If nothing else changed, it’ll work in AE if it works in SSF4.

Guys, if SSB and Duck were 3 frames faster, it would fix our complaints about those moves being slow.

LK SSB 15 frames
MK SSB would be 18
HK SSB would be 21
EX would be 21

SSB will hit when he actually should hit!

Just give me ducking recovering sooner, I don’t care about HK Duck Upper or Straight not connecting, there’s always LK and MK Duck Straight and Upper to use.
