Dudley’s new voice actor seems to be Ralph Lister, best known for his work as Walter in Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate.

Who knew Dudley was so popular… I wonder how many will give him up if he turns out to be execution heavy like he was in 3S.
Iranrian is a nationality, you mean arbic or middleeastern, he could be. Capcom would have just made him from India or such and such middle eastern country then right? Like Hakan.

Ducking seems like it would be really good in this game where fireballs are so important. Overhead to super (if it works) may not be so bad since it’s not always easy to stock super in this game, plus all the defensive wakeup options. Overhead to ultra might be a beast though if it works. Watching the video with Sagat, looks like Dudley’s jump is loftier than 3S,and he won’t have the benefit of air parry to help him get in. The few normals that I saw have short range, and I think it’s safe to assume that his low pokes won’t be much better than 3S. I’ve switched to turtlism since 3S, so I was worried about my Dhalsim getting raped by Dudley, but it looks like he’s gonna have to work to get in.
I’m curious about his multi-sweep combos. And that voice actor is so bland, undistinguished.
All his good shit is pretty execution heavy.

Just dropping in to say good luck to you guys with Dudley, I have been getting caught in the Dudley hype train since coming to this site so I’ve got a lot of respect for the old Englishman. Unfortunately he won’t be my main as I like Makoto too much, but I’m definitely gonna pick him up as a secondary if I ever get to a high level with Makoto and am able to devote time to learning a second character

The Japanese voice actor for Dudley is amazing. Wow, that’s cool.
The way he says “Rolling Thunder!!” might be as cool as any line 3s Dudley had.

Hey, after listening to the Dudley vs Sagat match, I thought his English VA wasn’t bad at all. I’m extremely worried by the lack of “Let’s fight, like gentlemen.”, though.
Cross Counter was never really useful to begin with if I remember correctly, it only activates if the attack is high or mid, it don’t work on low attacks.
the keep it classy part in the american VA was almost good
the jap voice and the american voice are both really,really crap though.
there is some guy out there somewhere in charge of things like this and he thinks he has done a good job with dudleys voices.
i think he should be considering hari kari for the sake of his family honour.

Yeah the voice itself is fine to me now. But that lack of that line really sucks and I still can’t understand why it’d be cut.
His voice isn’t a copy of his 3s voice but I still think it fits him. I like how he says “uppercut” and “keep it classy”. Hopefully some of his old lines are in his taunts.
