i will be one of the first in line once these come in =D
I will be putting the order in to get the SMD version pcb made today.
You could pretty much just forward me one on that order, I have a feeling that with this thing I’ll be getting lots of dual modded pad requests
It should be small enough to fit inside the 360 fightpad, madcatz pad, and official MS pad. I am going to try to get all 3 dual modded.
uh, nice idea, never thought about this before
This is hot stuff. Can’t wait to order a few after everything is completed.
I have an idea how to sit everything inside the fightpad, should be really easy too. I don’t care so much about the MS pad, but it’ll be interesting nonetheless, hehe.
Question though, are you going to do like your leo board and do the SMD work yourself before shipping the ordered boards out to people? Also, are you doing those by hand or are you using homebrew oven techniques?
I know the fightpad should be the easiest out of the 3 since it has the most room, is common ground, easy solder spots, and has no analog triggers. The madcatz pad has analog triggers and less room making it a bit harder than the fightpad. The MS pad will be the hardest. Has the worst solder spots out of the three and has analog triggers.
Just like I did for my leo board, I will be soldering all the surface mount components myself, by hand. There’s just too much chance for error to sell it as a kit for people to put together themselves.

:))) received the new version. Jep, looks great. It features now a switchless design. no external switch is needed for selecting between consoles. New version will also have some improvements about handling inverted triggers.
Thanks to this design we can cleary differentiate between the selected consoles. Here’s again a lot of modding potential. Next step is to include simple led support.
That is so beautiful, it brings a tear to my eye. Oh I can’t wait until I receive my smd version boards.
You’re using a bootloader with your version too right?
Jep, I want to. You`ve finished the bootloader for the version with 4066, I guess? the bootloader has to be adapted for this version
My boards have arrived!

Already programmed a bootloader on the first board and successfully programmed the firmware through usb. My pcb design did not fail!
I’m going on the hunt for a late version wireless 360 pad today. I’ll have to update the firmware to add support for the triggers. The code I added for triggers was to make the 360 board think the triggers were pressed. I’ll need to now make it so that the dual strike thinks the triggers were pressed. If that makes any sense to anyone else.
Congrats on the boards! Can’t wait to see them finished and ready to take orders. =)
don’t get it. you mean trigger inverter…?
The current code (same code I sent you ben, I haven’t added anything new since then) is for making the dual strike ‘press’ the trigger button on the 360 board. I now need to add code to make it when you press on the trigger on the 360 pad, it ‘presses’ the trigger button on the dual strike board (ps3)
Look where this board will fit

Good shit gummowned!
man…I really need to start using kynar wire, that stuff comes out clean for tiny applications.
Are you guys still planning on release a Dual Strike with pins for easy conection with SE/TE PCBs ribbon cables?
