Congrats on achieving auto detection!!! This is huge!!
its $30 plus shipping. Its small enough to fit in a nes controller. Only concern might be the height because of the capacitor, but that could be rewired or a hold drilled through the nes pcb if needed.
you mean, using wires to hold the capacitor on another place? that doesn’t sound too hard…
also… should i buy SMD version from you?
Thanks!
You know I forgot to talk to you about that one at SB and I meant to, it might be of interest to you (when you run out of things) to switch styles of caps. You’d go from an aluminum can to a tantalum or another type of polarized ceramic. You won’t have to worry about height requirements anymore, or accidentally sheering off the cap if it gets rubbed against something. I only mention it because that’s exactly what I’m doing, and for those exact reasons. Just something to think about if you’re contemplating a redesign at all.
Do you mean detection lag?
just updated my DS to 3.1.0. the autodetect works really well. also, i used the configuration editor for the first time. awesome stuff.
Just have to make sure its wired correctly since its polarized.
You would have to buy the SMD version from me since I’m the only source for them.
Yeah I’ve been thinking about switching caps. Just haven’t looked into what options I have.
No, the possible lag for sending the PS3 controller data to the PS3. Previously it was ~2ms, now it should be about 1ms (the minimum) - but I suppose noone would feel the difference.
so once trackball…spinner suppiort added, on a 2 player cab, with trackball/spinner 4Dualstrikes would be used?
Hmmm, we`re currently in development so things are quite open. Perhaps we implement different pin layouts like
- 4 directions
- 6 buttons
- 2 for start, coin
- rest for stuff like spinner or trackball.
So if you want to build up a 2 player cpo with just 6 buttons, you need then only 2 dual strikes.
Just state your needs, since we need input like this…
quick question. my friend will mash 360s and press the start and select button inbetween rounds of street fighter. this causes the joystick (buttons work) to cease functioning until the usb is replugged in. this happens on both of my TE dual modded with latest firmware. any reason why this happens?
If it’s only the joystick, it’s because he’s accidentally hitting the “Meta” button and a direction on the joystick, which switches the joystick from DP to left or right analog depending on the direction. If it ever happens, just press start + Up to reset it to DP. If you’ve used the configuration editor and changed it from Start to Select, then use Select instead.
Mephisto, perhaps a “tournament” mode or the ability to remove the Meta button altogether if on the fly switching isn’t something they think they will use might be good to implement. no?
Sorry Torta, I had to do it…http://shoryuken.com/f177/check-out-my-new-arcade-stick-thread-part-deux-201537/index555.html#post9708852
Prob wont take a rocket scientist to figure what I’ll be making next…
just wanna say i hate you :(!! good job btw
atleast you know it fits
hopefully there is a way to make dual mod to ps3 sf te fight stick without lag
sure, rip out the PS3 pcb from the TE ps3 and replace it with xbox360 TE PCB and dual strike
@Gummo : Nice work there on the NES controller
There already is way.
You just add a Common Ground Xbox 360 Controller PCB.
thanx dude
i have sf 4 te stick now im gonna search about it and mod mine ,i guess it will take long time to finish
great. i’m going to order one !!
the mod on the nes controller is just awesome !
