Dual mod my current stick or buy another for 360?

I have a Hori Real Arcade Pro V3 SA for PS3. I need a fightstick for 360 as well, so my two options are to dual mod my current one or to get Real Arcade Pro VX SA KAI for 360. I could order the PS360+, but I can’t find a place to buy one in Europe with a reasonable price. In the end, it wouldn’t be that much cheaper to get a new stick, but I’m not sure if I need two sticks. How easy it is dual mod Hori sticks? Or would I be better off just getting a new one since there are some improvements with the Kai stick?

It’s easier to dual mod from 360 than it is starting with a PS3 stick. Well, assuming you can get one of the cerberus boards for a reasonable price in europe. So, you could always grab the 360 stick, dual mod it, and sell your PS3 stick if there’s a market for it.

The page for the Cerberus says it’ll work in a Hori, though not as easily as with a madcatz stick.

And to go from PS3 to 360, I’m pretty sure you need to gut a 360 pad and then work both that and a chip to autodetect which console you have it plugged into. Or just a switch to go between them.

Since you have a PS3 stick, in order to dual-mod it, you’ll either need to buy an aftermarket PCB along with an xbox360 pcb, or simply use a PCB that has both those features built-in, like the PS360+

Like you mentioned, the PS360+ board is pricier than most other options, so you’ll have to value whether or not it’s cheaper or more practical to either buy a new stick that costs the same amount of money, or if you want the convenience of being able to use one stick, or whether or not you want to do the labor involved with modding your own stick or paying somebody else to do it for you.
