Okay, I have owned the original arcade version, CPS3 first version with Urien unblockables. Playing the Dreamcast version (and, this is coming from somebody who’s owned and played the hell out of his arcade ver), I don’t see why so many people whine and bitch about the DC version being crap.
ANYHOW, is it just me, or is the DC version much harder? I played level 8 on the arcade, and could easily beat Gill with Makoto LAME ASS hayate, karakusa, standing HP, hayate, karakusa… etc. It was actually quite pathetic. It seems now that the computer is able to avoid this, and other set ups I used to do. Is it because this is based on version 2 of the game? Is ver 2’s ai set up in the same way, or is the DC version just harder/better tuned so you can’t just whip the computer’s ass without mercy?
You idiots. No, that’s not what it is. The computer is actually playing differently. I was just asking a question of if it plays like version 2 in the arcade or if this is a new AI string.
Lol, I dont think people understood your question. I understood it, but Ill have to test that out, my friends got a dreamcast maybe Ill eventually try it on there… I dont think Ive ever heard anyone say anything about it though.
Really I’ve never had much trouble playing the CPU in 3S for Dreamcast. I haven’t played through the arcade mode on the PS2 version (just versus there) so I couldn’t say, but I doubt they would retool the AI all that much between the two different boards.
Just be happy Gill doesn’t share SNK Boss syndrome.
