Iām pretty sure there is a female version too.
but you cant reposition those into different poses like the japanese figures tho. pointless.
alsoā¦for those unfamiliar with Medibang. which is a great art app. its on iOS, Android, and Windows/Mac. and its free.

If you guys can afford to find life drawing sessions(which are usually really cheap) Iād recommend doing so. itās one of the most underused resources out there. Static figures are really good if theyāre high quality and you can articulate them, but there is a limit to what you can get out of them.
^Second this. Check with local colleges. Not only do you get better poses due to them ACTUALLY being humans and affected by gravity like a real human (balance etc, not just saggy bits) but it forces you to get better quicker. An action figure wonāt get tired and need to move so you may end up over working a single piece rather than trying over and over to get different poses right the first time.
I was fortunate enough that one of my art classes I took at college had us drawing from models twice a week.
Also, another animation from class within spoiler

Underestimated this character, didnāt bother studying the model so came out very inconsistent.
I should re-draw the whole thing butā¦ fuck that! Moving on.
Is that Archimedes from The Sword in the Stone?
Yup yup.
This is what we had to work with
Granted, we were told to watch Sword in the Stone to grasp a better way in drawing the character. I didnāt botherā¦ and I paid the price with shameā¦
dont forget Pinterest too. ive seen some good shit there too.
btw. yall know about this animator for like anime? its on steam.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znRgK-QByw8

While sharing resources and whatnot. Even though live classes are the best CroquisCafe really is THE BEST free source for live drawing.
No paywall and just straight up content.
Itās nice to see this thread still going. I would have contributed more if my life wasnāt so fucked up right now. Anyway here are some Instagram pages you should all subscribe to, or at least look at if your serious about concept art.

If you guys are really serious about concept art Iād suggest taking some lessons at Art centre. Check the first Instagram link at the top, heās a teacher at Art centre. I would have taken one of his lessons a long time ago if I lived in the US, unfortunately right now in Europe we have nothing like this.
Itās all good, glad you made the thread to begin with.
In the mean time, seems like Bluth is giving us a 2 week break so no animation assignments. Guess time for personal project mode.
Otherwise, hope the holidays work out for everyone.
Doing free stickart for the first five to message me.
PM me with your project and Iāll contact you asap.
