A good drawing tablet is worth the price. But I’ll stick to Wacom Cintiq. Idc if its over priced, works great and still enjoy having my own PC incase I need to upgrade parts or do other things on it.

Damn, SRK forum here is closing up.
Honestly, I was hoping to use this place to post up my animations as to look back at my work. Sad mode.
I guess I’ll post my last assignment here and hope everyone luck on their journey.

Kind of sucks but alas, guess all things come to an end. Funny enough, this forum helped me get into drawing due to an “what I wanted to do with my life” thread a while back.

Per tea good.
My animations are getting more attention than I thought. Once I’m done with class (September 2018), I’ll try my luck and apply for animation work. Apparently I already have what it takes, but I still feel I need to learn a bit more before I venture forth.

i’ll say one thing before i go.
thanks for any info ive gained from the thread. and…i hope you all keep up on the artwork. including the none pro folks.
lastly.
one last tip of advice to everyone.
remember to draw with your elbow, not your wrist. you’ll have a tendency to draw with a wrist especially on tablets or screens.
draw by keeping your wrist and hands still and letting your elbow and shoulder do all of the motions. it makes your precision far better.

Man, I had even more info to post up here. I’ve been talking to a number of Marvel/DC artist on facebook and I wanted to post the advice they gave me. I’ve also bought quite a few books that I couldn’t download for free. I was planning on scanning the pages and uploading it here. I was only taking my time because I didn’t expect this site to shut anytime soon.

I pretty much have all the advice and knowledge that I didn’t have when I first started this thread.

Pozerwolf, well-done on taking that animation course because the best concept and comic book artists all have animation backgrounds. Sara Picelli is just one that comes to mind, she told me that the best way to improve is to constantly draw from life.

I’m considering taking an online course with Art centre. It’s expensive but possibly worth it, and if I do I’ll post all of their notes and my work.

Well, really sucks that srk is closing down. I enjoyed this thread. I never posted the moira portrait I said I would because I spent two weeks of vacation drinking on a beach. So, I finally got around to finishing it last week. It was short but it was a pleasure, keep practicing y’all!
