As for DLC, I hope they make a giant expansion pack full of extra tweaks to existing content and lots of new stuff instead of multiple small incremental DLCs that often feel disjointed and incohesive. This game somehow reminds me of the good old days with Diablo 2. If the expansion pack is like LoD tier I’m sold.

Do people not know what beat 'em ups constitute at this point? Not to jump down anyone’s throat, but this like the fourth or fifth instance I’ve seen of someone complaining about the game being repetitive… By that token, aren’t all games repetitive? Is Madden not repetitive with playing the same game with the same rules and plays over and over? Is Call of Duty not repetitive once you’ve mastered all the maps and spawn locations?
I won’t even get into the hypocrisy of someone on a fighting game website complaining about repetitiveness, when the entire concept revolving around being good at said games requires maddening amounts of repetition to perform basic combos and setups…
You’ve got online multiplayer, six different playable classes, each with several different skills and builds you can create, tons of weapon drops with varying stats and abilities, nine different stages with two paths and unique bosses plus an bonus dungeon featuring more difficult versions of regular enemies and bosses, 50 unique challenge quests, and somebody is gonna sit there and let the word repetitive come out of their mouth…
Thinking like that is why games like this don’t get made anymore… SMH

Playing online with friends and voice chat helps make things less repetitive. Having friends to talk random bullshit with while playing is super fun.

@po pimpus- why are you reaching into this as well? For the record I agree with you about call of duty and madden…but not really fighting games cause people compete for cash/respect in those. Also, not everyone on srk plays fighters much, we’re pretty much all stream monsters.

I haven’t competed seriously in a while, but last time I checked, if you wanted to be any good at a competitive fighter, you had to grind that shit out in training mode to make sure you didn’t drop a combo at a critical juncture or know which poke beats which in certain matchups…
I only “jumped in” because I’ve been seeing this “opinion” crop up quite a bit, but I don’t see anyone calling out all those six hour movies masquerading as games for their complete lack of shit to do once the credits roll beyond a bunch of useless DLC. I guess since those shitty games end before anyone has a chance to bring up the “repetive” argument, they get a pass.
