If you’re a sorc/wiz or any other class that uses lots of skills using items is a bitch.

They seemed to be mostly on Vita, but I’ve seen reports of some PS3 players running into really high level bone piles online… I’ve just been avoiding all the bone piles I see now. So glad I finished that resurrection quest before all this crap started happening
Also, @Pterodactyl, what’s your Dwarf build looking like? I need to respec a few things, but I’ve mainly been focusing on physical tanking and throw damage. Need to buff Adroit Hands so I can spam Grand Slam more often, lol.
Nothing fancy at the moment actually, still trying to get to lv50.
I basically just leveled up all of his skills besides bombs, eagle dive, fire barrel, and trinket maniac(which I might get in the future along with wealth to health in order to get healed after doing anything, so I can enter boss fights with full health or close). Adroit hands and Deadly fist kind of counter act each other, I’d choose one or the other instead of both.
Basically all offense and no support, going wrestlemania on enemies and sticking to bosses like glue, mashing out frenzy(while dodging attacks)until they go for a high damage/instakill attack. When they do that I use the Grand Smash(circle) invincibility frames and take out a chunk, activate fire fists and go to work again until it the buff goes away, and then go get my weapon and repeat.
Obviously some boss don’t allow this, at least not easily.
Defense and strength potion aren’t good to have, use them right before starting boss fights.
Chaos Labrynth gear is a must, unless you have better items.
You probably already have your Dwarf like this, or similar, seeing as how you described it.
I’m not really that deep into the character yet, trying to catch it up to my fighter, then decide which one I want to main.
You quit your fighter?
I might.
Details?
I’m at 39, and you’re scaring me…

This game needs an easier way to use items. it’s hard to really use them in the heat of battle. I would also prefer to exchange basic moves for the special skilled based ones like the Lightning clouds and fire barrels.
Are you using the shortcuts? It doesn’t sound like you are.

As an Elf, I use three skills and reserve the last slot for healing potions. Works well for me. Don’t forget that the bags allow different setups.

Yeah, I have a level 20 sorc and the class seems really hurting at the beginning. Depleting your mana happens quickly and frequently and charge time is incredibly slow. All my skill points went into recharging mana as fast as possible. I’ve seen higher level Sorcs do some massive damage with her Blizzard spell though.
If you take the skills to recharge your mana off basic attacks and kills you can keep spell combos going for some time, especially if you’re using an ice staff. But if you’re only picking up concentrate to speed up mana recharge you’re going to be forced into the loop of blast and charge a lot more often.
Also, it amazes me that so many people seem to make damage the biggest priority when trying to establish relative power in this game. I’ll sacrifice damage for control in virtually any RPG setting. There’s more to winning than making big numbers flash up on the screen.
I bet if those same guys clamoring for the Elf and Amazon played MtG they’d tell you Blue was the crappiest color in the game because it has poor damage output. Or Frost is the worst Mage spec in WoW because it has lower damage than Arcane or Fire.

But…dem numbers…
As a former MtG player, I was a fan of confusion and chaos, and not necessarily power. I just liked messing with people’s decks/hands.

What? No, there isn’t anything wrong with the fighter, hell I just got some re-fucking-diculous gear with him and i’m still murder stomping my way through hard mode.
I’m just using the Dwarf right now for a bit more of a challenge, I might temporarily drop fighter until I feel like picking him up again.
Big numbers! I’m all about Slow into Flame Burst right now. Meteor Storm is cute, but that cast time is just obnoxious, and I can put out far more damage during that cast time.

Oh, cool.
I might pick mine back up, too.
I got him to… 19, I think, before I switch to Zealadin.

Wiz looks like a cool character.
Starting out, he looks like a slow burner.
Then, maxed out, he looks like a slowing burner.

It’s pretty hard to argue with dishing out that amount of damage while not getting touched at all.

Why sacrific damage for control if I can have both? Max evasion + ice staff is all I need for control.

I’ll sacrifice damage for control in virtually any RPG setting.
This is the precise reason that Sorc is my favourite character that I’ve tried so far.

Is there a reason to use more than maybe 4? Or am I doing it wrong by not using Blizzard with my ice staves or Cloud with my lightning staves?

Also, I’m with BEWD… fuck that elite pirate. That dude is evil.

I suppose. But that’s only really possible against a computer that doesn’t adapt.
I’ll admit, it does look flashy to obliterate a boss in mere seconds, but I guess I’m the type of person that would rather control a drawn out fight than end it quickly. Just a style choice.
In a PVP setting, you only need enough damage to down a playable character, and CC becomes a much bigger threat. So far I feel a well built Sorceress would be a beast in the Arena. All she needs to do is CC you and all your big numbers don’t mean squat.
I played Rogue/Mage/Priest pretty competitively back in BC/WotLK/Cata in WoW arena, so I’ve got a pretty good idea how PVP arena works.
I’m building my Amazon to sent her into Berserk as quick as possible. I’m thinking about investing some points in Rage as the HP loss would overlap with Adrenaline.
It’s much more than big numbers.
The blood rush from going toe to toe against a massive creature in a fight of who annihilates who first as the whole place comes down is > *.(hence why I enjoy fighting Chimera so much)
Oh and Dat Ass.

Scum of the earth right here.
Are you supposed to kill to bosses before they die on their own or leave whatever? I’m too weak apparently.

Are you supposed to kill to bosses before they die on their own or leave whatever? I’m too weak apparently.
You gotta kill them fast enough so you can get the talismans to beat the game.

Are you supposed to kill to bosses before they die on their own or leave whatever? I’m too weak apparently.
To get the talismans as well as more points, yes you gotta kill them before they get away or meet their own demise.
Yeah you do have a time limit to kill area B bosses and if you don’t kill them fast enough you wont get the talisman
