Dragon's Crown (Chun-li has been dethroned as Queen of Thighs)

Go online so I can join yo room.

Go in to the Tavern, in the center of the screen there is a list showing your character at the top and then the three other open to join slots beneath. I don’t recall the button that does it offhand, but you can close those slots. That will keep AI characters from joining your solo runs.

Online is actually pretty solid, even with randoms. You don’t always get randoms who know what they’re doing yet, but you can watch most people get better as they go along. By the same token it isn’t uncommon to random into groups that actually do well enough to help carry you through stuff you normally wouldn’t be doing at your level. Only bad thing to watch out for is the online freeze bug, and that doesn’t pop up so often anyway.

Go to the inn, go to the screen where you choose your party, and press Triangle to disable party slots.

I tried playing online for the first time, but my party got disconnected shortly after starting. I hope that’s not a common issue. Anyway, the game is so much better now that the B paths are open and dungeon chaining is unlocked. Battles are tougher now, and the AI can’t handle some of them, like the Medusa fight. Tried out the Holdout Dagger skill + poison + backstab…so good. I may get the Maintenance skill so that I can make daggers last longer.

Make sure you select join off in your party member section at the tavern. That’ll prevent you from having random A.I. popping up during your run.

I need to respec the shit out of my Amazon.

Waste of time unless you’re chaining with a friend or forum member, for synergy and organization purposes.

Only time I go online is to get a little back up with the last couple of B routes.

After a dungeon or two you’ll notice your party will be mostly AI, if not all.

Decided I write all the rune spells down on a scrap of paper, was actually a really good idea.

I just got in from work so… STABLE INTERNET!

How useful is the Parry skill for the Amazon?

It never fails.

It is ALWAYS the clearly clinically retarded ones who call for nerfs instead of buffs.

Fail, without fail: Gamefaqs.

^It is useful to the extent that a proper parry nets you a few seconds of invincibility which will help you build up berserk, the more points you put into it the longer the invincibility lasts.(Also I notice for some reason if I pop off parry successfully while surrounded by small fry they’ll actually all get stunned for a few seconds letting me land free hits)

The problem with parry though is that things can get very hectic very quickly, and you’ll have to have your eye on your character at all times in order to properly time it, which can be difficult if you’re surrounded. Still I’ve pulled it off several times, and most enemies have at least 1 or 2 attacks you can parry so I’d still invest a point into it. Going into the deeper levels of it is up to you but I’d rather max the bread and butter skills first then do the side stuff.

edit: *make sure you guys remove the image of AmASSzon from the quotes, love her too but no need to get infracted

I invested a point into parry and needed to know if it’ll be worth it. Parry, Berserk and adrenaline are the Amazon skills I invested in so far. Got the health and EXP skills for coins on common.

Yeah in my opinion at least one point is worth it, it is a nice skill to have though there’ll be times where its near impossible to use due to all the enemies on screen(though I’ve had several instances where it proc’ed on accident which was a very nice bonus especially with it stunning several enemies at once). Also several bosses(especially some like the Minotaur) are extremely easy to parry once you know their pattern)

Gawddammit, I’m never gonna catch up to you fuckers… I’ve been busting ass at work all week, and now the one day I was gonna set aside to play is going to be locked up in bullshit.

ShitFuckDamnHell…

I am loving all the secret rooms. It’s really just like playing an updated Shadow over Mystara. But I love hearing the sorceress voice describing the secret rooms more than anything.

edit: what are the downfalls of having the AI randomly join your quest? Does it take away exp or something?

I get knocked out all the time. But when it hits, it is stupid strong. It’s destroys certain bosses. It is easy to tell when you can use it and when you can’t on bosses (IE No to Kraken, yes to the tiny terror) Slow really, really helps, and you would be surprised at how barely out of enemy reach positioning will work. Also, if in a party with sorceress, have her get protect and use it. Protect negates fliching.

I would give it a shot if I were you. Nothing like hitting three 4000-8000 in your upper 20s.

How to I take this online?

90 percent of the posts there are full of stupid so why does that suprise you? I think even the most dumbass poster on SRK is smarter than your average Poster on Gamefags.

Respect dat ass. Treasure dat ass. Appreaciate dat ass. Become one with dat ass, and all shall be right with the world.- Psalms 32

Shit.

I actually beat all of the sidequests.

They were actually really addicting, the art, the stories, the narration, the easy skill points.

I hope we get a DLC quest pack, with like, 100 sidequests or something.

Damn, now I actually have to grind for upgrades…

I believe you have to play through the first 9 missions. The req of the last mission is level 17 IIRC. Once you head out of the main city, the game will announce that you are able to play online.

So much Dragon’s Crown hentai, so little baby oil.
