I still look forward to this game, but the developer has a pretty bad history of pretty but extremely shallow, heavily recycled games and now that I read that this game will last around 12 hours I fear it will be the same tooā¦ no way you are going to get a fully solid arcade-like game with that play length. Shadow Over Mystara was an oddity since it lasted almost one hour and a half, and that already felt a bit too muchā¦ not happy at all about the RPG elements either.
Iāll see later. Maybe they pull off a miracle, but Iām not betting on it.
agreed, odin sphere was a beatiful pile of shit. it sucked. heard the samre complaints about muramasa. dont think dragons crown will suffer the same fate though. i would have liked to see more platforming in beat em ups though.
Iām still mad at myself for being hype over and then playing Odinās Sphere. Itās just sitting in my basement looking stoopid.

I think since George and that Kotaku guy quit going back the whole āDragonās Crown is Sexist!ā beef/issue is dead. I havenāt heard jack about it sense I see new news and previews for it every week.
For all who are familiar with Vanillawareās other titles like Muramasa, they brought back the delicious food again.

Dragonās Crown is gonna be at Evo. I asked Wizard about it and he confirmed.

What Iād like to see, is something like Odin Sphereās ābookā set up, but without the repetition.
The game should be split up into different āchaptersā or something, each of which is essentially itās own self contained game, and each of which contains unique gimmicks, enemy types, etc. Each one has itās own difficulty curb, starting out easy and becoming hard.
Basically think Mega Man Zero collection if you play all 4 titles back to back as one game. Or Odin Sphere it it wasnāt so horribly executed.
I think it would certainly be easier for a multiplayer combat focused game to pull this off, then say a shmup or an action platformer where all the level designs need to be completely different.

The game has PVP, so I asked Wiz on the Twitch Evo channel if the game was going to be at Evo, and he said yes.
