I mean it’s kind of the same logic of The Last of Us getting a remaster on PS4. The game got a love of attention but was also at the end of the PS3’s life cycle. Same idea here. I don’t see a problem with it. And no, I only have RE4 on my dead Gamecube.
Last of Us remaster hit on the PS4’s first year on the market. After four years a straight port is disappointing. This should have happened when the PS4 was still new.
Word. It doesn’t even need to be anything actually new. Just repaint a couple bosses, put a “night” shader on some of the stages and half of this thread will quit their jobs
all this time and they didnt bother to add more locations/stages/etc. etc. they could have built a sequel/expansion on top of the base game and made it more enticing.
Vanillaware is like 13 people and they have been making a completely new game already, AND they’ve done that with other releases already. Cut them some slack
why don’t they give PS4 something new for a change, like Muramasa Rebirth + the DLCs,
Muramasa to this day is only available on Wii and Vita, such a waste. and it’s entirely better than Odin Sphere.
Muramasa is 100% new to the millions on PS4 that didn’t play Muramasa on Wii or Vita.
well ok Dragons Crown has the co-op, but considering they went through the trouble remastering Odin Sphere, it’s absurd the better of the two single player games didn’t come to modern playstation console.
The actual combat in the newer odin sphere > Muramasa imo.
If they gave muramasa the same treatment as odin sphere for ps4 AND got rid of ALL that backtracking you have to do in empty space I would give it a shot. Holy shit that backtracking shit was terrible and the options they gave you to mitigate it were subpar to say the least.
Yeah my guess is that most of their sources were working on the Odin Sphere remake before working on that new Atlus game. They are an extremely small, yet talented, studio. Cut them some slack. Wouldn’t surprise me that they’re just doing a direct port as a way to help draw in some needed funds for their studio, especially since it looks like they need new staff members.
