This game fucking syphoned my life-forces like a sweet, sweet succubus for the longest time and it felt fucking good.
OK, Iāve gotten the game and videos donāt do it justice. The game looks awesome on my HDTV.
I decided to start with amazon. I dunno why, I feel a certain sluggishness while playing. Canāt tell if it is just amazon or the game. Maybe itās been too long since I last played a side scroller like Double Dragon, Ninja Turtles, etc., but I donāt feel DC highly responsive? Do people here prefer to play with dpad or analog?
Iāve never had those problems and I never heard of anyone else having those problems.
Might be the Amazon, the only time I touched her was to get her boss ass amulet.
Also, iām gonna tell it to you straight, the Amazon will be borderline impossible to use once you get to the late game(AKA the best part) due to her glass cannon-ness not scaling too well.
You can definitely kill things with her still because her DPS is amongst the top once you get your momentum, but most things will kill you in one or two hits after a certain point and even good NPCs wonāt be too much help then.
Youāll need some fucking pro skills to keep her afloat, but itās possible.
Sheās damn near OP in the early and mid game though.
Thanks, gonna keep that in mind. Gonna look to see if there are some amazon build guides that help with her problem. If not Iāll try with another character first.
Iād say get a feel for the game with the Fighter or Sorceress, you donāt have to beat it or carry them to mid or late game, but they are the two easiest to use in their respective fields for most of the game and theyāre good for learning the basics,
Of course if you like jumping straight in the characters that require a bit more abstract thinking and fitting yourself into the mold with brute force and trial and error, you can definitely do that and eventually make progress. I do it in games all of the time, and I probably could of done it in this game, but I dropped the wizard for the Fighter and I had a fuckton more fun beating the game for the first time with him than I did with the wizard. I later picked the wiz back up and I applied what iād learned to him and did much better.
My boy and I finished LoC with our mains yesterday. Now weāre ready to start playing the real game.
It really is amazing how replayable this game is. Between slowly grinding our alts and starting the climb on ToM, on paper we could play this game forever.
Iāve been playing this off and on for the past couple months after a very short break. Currently my fighter is level 75, dwarf is 65 and I plan to start the other characters as soon as I finish the story with my dwarf. Wizard is going to be next. My plan is to beat the game with all the characters, get them to around 70-80 and keep leveling each one every session from there. Iām smiling at the thought of the hours Iāll be putting in this game.
Iām in a rut though because I canāt beat the final dragon. I feel like I need a full crew of at least level 100 NPCs in order to kill him and that means grinding until luck hits finding those high level bones. It was never this difficult with my 1st character. Iāve died just as many times trying to rebuild the 2nd goddess with dwarf than I did in the whole story with fighter.
Getting back at it later today for a few hours.
Thatās just how the Amazon is. Sheās like a āsnowballā character. Starts off slow attacking and moving, but once she builds momentum and gets beserker goint she moves like Sonic the hedgehog and hits like a train. I play her in TOM and like others have mentioned sheās a glass cannon. Your game has to be on point to work with her in TOM because 2hits and sometimes even one hit and sheās done. I have a general build for her.
@AriesWarlock. For Common skills, Max out evasion, deep pockets, one or 2 levels of nutrition, and one or 2 levels of wealth to health. If youāre trying to level up then Max out money is power.
Amazon Skills. Max out Parry, Brandish, Beserk, Brutal Drive, and Deadly Revolution. And dump the rest in either Stun Wave or Neck Spliter. In your bag have 2-3 axes. Parrying alot takes a toll on durability, Also asign shortcuts to them because after a power smash, by selecting another Ax she can have a weapon ready immediately and power smash again. Use all available def equipment, Have a strong poition and Elixer. Elixer will give her a moment to get her brandish going and build momentum.
@AriesWarlock Lastly while playing at lower levels itād be best to learn what attacks can be parried or not. At Ultimate Amazon lives and dies by the parry. If you donāt know what attacks can be parried and which have to be evaded, youāre gonna struggle something fierce in TOM. Me personally I love the Amazon. Her glass cannon, little room for error play style is so fun and challenging in TOM. And I like her play style in general.
Yeah, I like it, too. Guess I have to get used to it. Thank you for the tips, good to know. And yeah, seems like parry and parry tricks are a must for amazon.

Hmm thereās some misinformation there. The condemded weapons only give a damage bonus during evasion invincibility. If they worked during parry invincibility, Amazon would be retardedly OP lol.

Dunno if this is old, but Atlus released an official manga in Japan, you can download two volumes at the link above ^ I dunno if this related to the game story. You see the team tackling lots of monsters. Cooking. Amazonās bra breaks in the middle of a fight. Dwarf wants a peek of Sorceressās boobs while she sleeps. Archer likes Sorceressās boobs. Funny thing, the artist did some hentai works of DC.
