So I tried online and it was pretty laggy, but I was able to survive.
Is it possible to join a game doing LoC? It doesn’t look like there’s a way to pick what room you want to join unless it’s a friend game. When I joined a random room it was always normal levels.
I can agree with you on Eagle Dive being poor and avoiding it, but Dwarf Bombs and Fire Barrels do have their uses, especially vs. bosses that can fly, and those that move around alot and charge you. With the new patch you can throw bombs diagonally up with up triangle, and while it doesn’t do as much damage as bombs from dungeons, they are more readily available to you than dungeon bombs, and they sure as hell beat dwarf’s aerial attacks. You can set fire barrels down which explode when enemies attack it or charge you (as a trap). These options don’t beat going in and RTSDing enemies, but they do help vs specific enemies and fights.
I actually counted the points pre-patch and yeah, you don’t get the Deep Pockets points back.
I planned and wrote down my lvl 99 build when I was like lvl 60, and when I hit 99, I found out I was short 12 points from what my plans looked like. I factored in the Deep Pockets glitch when I wrote my plans. Being short the 12 points confirms that you never got them back after the respec. kAb is right.
True enough. However, I still don’t think they are worth investing points in, aside maybe one or two points if you have points to spare. Typically you can use Grand Smash to get airborne enemies for more damage anyways.
Really wish I could get those attack speed gauntlets from the Fighter LoC… but I don’t have a Fighter that high, let alone a fighter at all.
Man one thing Ive noticed for Wizard is slow is mandatory to get max damage off of Meteor swarm. In fact it seems like slow is necessary for most of his big damage set ups. Started doing hard with him and man I will say this it is so satisfying to have stacked gear and getting meteor swarm off on a boss. Watching that health drop is just too good. It also feels like his teleport is quicker than sorceress. I was dogding the Omega Hare on reaction with him where as the Sorc. it was easier to just air dash away from him when he starts his gib attack. Lighting seems like a trash attack so does that dragon breath. Has anyone gotten those skills to higher level to see if they get better or was my assessment spot on?
Ok Ill have to look into blaze haven’t really tried it in depth yet. As far as
I could help you. You need LoC floor 7? It would have to be after about 4 hours but if you need the item on floor seven I could do it for you. Ill be busy until then and it would help break up the wizard grind for abit. But yeah not free until at least four hours from now.
Any fight with a heavy amount of adds, especially multiple elite adds, give him trouble since he doesn’t have an effective way both dealing with them and doing consistent boss DPS at the same time. With the Arch Demon, it’s difficult to clear the adds, dodge all the fire on the ground, and DPS the boss at the same time. For the Minotaur, Orcs are huge and take up a lot of space, and if they land a stun on you, it’s hard to see you got stunned until you realize it; clearing those adds becomes tedious. Red Dragon is a straight positioning/dodging/playing careful fight, but will punish you hard for mistakes. Wraith zombie adds are annoying to deal with. Ancient Dragon isn’t bad, but can be problematic if you don’t have enough DPS. Gargoyle Gate has elite adds and there’s so much shit going on sometimes that you can lose your character in the chaos. Killer Rabbit would be free if you didn’t have to be so close since his normal attack has very little start up to dodge and instantly stuns you. Warlock adds only somewhat of an annoyance, but manageable if you get a good Grand Smash. Vampires are only somewhat difficult because there can be many of them attacking from multiple angles at once; playing cautiously makes them pretty easy, however.
Everyone else is either super predictable or just melts from certain Dwarf abilities.
Keep in mind that this is for Labyrinth of Chaos, so the bosses scale up higher than your level and begin to become more difficult than their dungeon counterparts.
Is the [+DMG%, Durability Way Down] worth running around with? The few I’ve come across reduce the durability to levels where it’d bust in a few seconds.
Only use I can see them is for boss fights, but even then, it would be fairly short lived wouldn’t it?
Ive only got into a few parties doing LoC runs but most of the time yes AI just messes everything up. Which is a shame because when you got people who know what they are doing while it’s still tense you can’t really carry anyone so everyone who is there wants to be there if you get what Im saying. LoC no one gets a free ride. Some of those durability items are great especially the ones that read something like way down got a couple of staves with something like +50% damage they are really helpful but yeah wouldn’t use them on anything other than a boss.
