Dragon's Crown (Chun-li has been dethroned as Queen of Thighs)

So would money match fools in Gundam Battle Assault 1 and 2 Char all day!!!

Nah, son.

Do you want me to slap you?

I was disappointed that Odin Sphere only took place on a circular arena except for the last boss. They could have done so much with it if it actually had level design. But I actually did like a lot of the things in the game though. Cornelius aka the Jedi Rabbit was pretty awesome because you can run around doing Zero’s pizza cutter, though his spells sucked compared to other characters.

I’m going to Evo this year, so if you’re there we can have a comical slap fight.

Anywho, I hated the game. Played for 25 minutes and quit out of boredom. It was like a bad Final Fight. I heard the other characters played in much more exciting ways but I was already well out of love with everything except the game’s aesthetics.

I’ll slap fight you, specs. ANY AMOUNT!

I will dual mod MY HANDS :LkjhP:OUGB!@

EDIT - Real talk: after I quit Odin Sphere, I watched my brother play and reach the chapter where you play awesome ninja rabbit, and I was like, “why the fuck isn’t this game about him?”

I loved Odin Sphere, but it does start really really slow.

Wish specs would stop hatin on it like is Chrono Cross or somethin. Makes me Indian tear every time.

Kind of mixed feelings on Odin sphere…anyways this game will be the tits!

The US trailer for Fighter makes him look faster than the jp one. I noticed at one point he had a blue aura, so maybe there is a haste buff like there was in the DnD beat-em-ups. I thought he was the most boring before but he doesn’t look too bad here.

US Sorc trailer here too.

Sowwy.

See, dis nigga’s gay

And this was VanillaWare’s official response:

See, even VW think that dat nigga’s gay

smh

^I really love the half naked dwarves. I can picture them sitting back in a hot spring with some kind of crazy ale laughing and joking around after a hard day of battle. It also reminds me of some feudal japanese art.

No-fuckin-kidding. Anytime I hear someone enjoyed Odin Sphere I just assume they have some kind of mental problem. And 100% of the time I’ve been right on that. Game is grade A garbage!

I find Pozer’s post hilariously ironic. :3c

I love Odin Sphere for both gameplay, art, and story.

But that first bit was extremely flawed.

In my playthrough, I had accidentally skipped over the part in the tutorial that informed me how to level up my damage. As a result, I ended up playing through the whole game low level.

This made things immensely more exciting. Seriously, it was one of the most intense, strategic, and exciting games I’d played. It was somewhat cheap in parts, and it did have its flaws even then, but it was fun. It was satisfying. And it was exciting.

Then of course, I reached the end of the game and realized how to level up, and it occurred to me that to play the game in a way that was fun, you had to handicap yourself. Otherwise, it’s just a repetitive grinder. It didn’t matter at that point though because I was up to the Armageddon boss rush (aka best boss fights ever).

This is why I was so disappointed that Muramasa: The Demon Blade played so differently. I didn’t mind that it took place in Japanese mythology rather then Norse, but what was sad was they took the gameplay in a completely different direction (which was also somewhat flawed) instead of working and refining some of the concepts they had in Odin Sphere (the story was also a lot less interesting and large in scale).

Some random furry indie game off xbox live was miles better than odin sphere and it still sucked !! Called tails of exodia or some shit.

Outside the art, there’s nothing redeeming about the game. Think the gameplay is good? Girl, do I got news for yoooouuuuuuu !!

Okay I’m done ranting.
Love y’all! <3

(Speaking of which, I need to make a video as to way Odin Sphere is the worst 2D of all time)

Edit: No, I take back what I said about the art. That sucked too! You bias weeaboos just love anything drowning in anime juice.

I see you ignored everything I just said. Oh well.

To be honest, I’ve really drifted away from most annie-may art styles over the years. Realizing that almost everyone has the same face kinda killed it for me. Obviously it’s not true for every artist and style, but in general I just don’t take anime art as seriously these days unless it’s really strikingly good, or averts some of my complaints about the medium.

That being said, Odin Sphere’s art, both characters and environment, is really good.

Considering there are recolors, and that dwarf has dark skin, I wonder how varied the palettes are gonna be?

I’m kind of annoyed that the artist, who is the one to actually have a sense of humor, ended up apologizing.
