Sonichuman, I saw the first match on the playlist, the one with arale vs 13. I’m not an Arale user so I don’t know exactly what to say, but more teleporting is definitely a bonus. Always try to go for the rolling hammer too, unless your opponent is really good at teleporting. Hitting from behind does more damage.

Growing up with both games, I don’t think either is better, its just geared towards your preferences: Budokai for a much more traditional fighting experience where you learn characters and exploit their unique strategies. Tenkaichi gives you tons and tons of mind games, but that comes at the price of characters not being as unique.

This is the ruleset i’m going to use in an upcoming tournament:
DP Battle - 20
1 match
Double elim
winner/losers finals 2/3, grand finals 3/5
Must pick the default character, and have to transform in battle, exception is The Great Saiyaman and The Great Saiyaman 2
Hirudegaan banned
Stage random, tenkaichi stage requires a reset

What about music selection? Random too?
And are ape transformations banned too?
only because hirudegaan starts out as a big, transform into a big is fine during a match (?maybe?)
seriously these no certain character, or have to transform rules are some of the stupidest shit ive ever heard of.
So you think it’s great for someone to start a match as SSJ3 Goku or Perfect Cell or Bojack or Broly at max form? I say it’s good to start at base form and work your way up. You can without a doubt achieve SSj3 with Goku even if you start at base. So therefor there is no problem.
As for custom characters: Broly in LSSJ form gains Ki slowly. I bet it’s a great idea to boost his ki gain speed right? I mean it’s not like he’s powerful or anything…
well also one thing to consider also is that a powered up version of a character also costs a lot more DP to start with
Transform rules:
-Woe is me. I actually have to transform? Oh noes. I can’t win a match like this at all. It makes perfect sense to pick Broly/Bojack/Super 13/Garlic Jr./Lord Slug at their max forms. What’s soooo bad about starting at base form? I’m sure you think it’s great to face a max form character and have them blow off over a bar of life in one move. Players can transform and they can select which form they want to go into as well.

and hirudegarn isn’t even that bad, characters like Future Gohan and Super 17 rape him for fucking free

Each person gets a 3 character team. Whoever wins the first match stays on to continue fighting the next person. Its 3 out of 5. If you lose then your partner is up next, if he loses then you go, so on and so forth.
Btw: We dont play online, so we can figure out where the match will go down after its accepted…
