Dragonball Z: Sparking! Neo! (Budokai Tenkaichi 2) for PS2 and Revolution

Really? Everything that’s been said is that the classic controller’s only for the old school games you download which is a BIG reason nobody in our crew will get the Wii!

Classic controller and Gamecube controllers are both compatible with BT2.

Really they should have put to teen Goten, Trunks, Goten and Kid Goku of GT…

That tier list is wack. All the characters with wild sense should be near top. Bardock is amazing I don’t see why he isn’t higher tiered.

Is the game going to be online capable for the Wii?

THis game is awesome. Makes me wonder why enough people arent playing it. And um THere is a tier list???

Hrmmm yea there is a japanese tier list somewhere, there almost always similar to when there posted, so the tiers at this point id assume are farily concrete… Id have to look for them again… But a lot of it was pretty obvious… SS4 gogeta was in his own tier… Then like SS4 goku and some vegeta, and then a teir of a lot of characters like fighting trunks etc… .Hrmm yea ill have to find it again or something…

I just realized something…

Thongboy Bebop mentioned something earlier that all charge attacks, when used in a combo, are escapable. I countered by essentially saying that if the charge attack still connects and registers in the combo, it isn’t escapable.
Well I was wrong.
Any combo that involves a charge attack can be easily teleport escaped. In fact, you can teleport escape in way more situations than you can’t. Kinda scary. It’s a good thing because essentially, it seems like the game is alot more balanced (guys like SSj4 Gogeta, even if they beat their no stun irst hit syndrome) since their potential damage is really nerfed. But at the same time, there’s really no guarenteed way to deal high damage, so things get really strange.

i just got this game last week and i gotta say this is probably the best dragonball z game i’ve ever played. The amount of shit they stuffed in here is crazy

now all i gotta do is learn how to do the combos where they knock u up in the air, and teleport behind u and hit u down …im able to do it one teleport and thats it but the computer does the shit like 3-4 times or more anybody have a technique for doin it?

edit: how do u change the difficulty setting for the rest of the game? I know in story mode they ask u what difficulty u want it on but when i go play the world tournaments and the ultimate battle modes the computer is extremely hard to fight

and also…iis gotenks super ghost kamikazee attack in this game anywhere? i dont think i’ve seen it yet

SSj Gogeta’s jumping charged ki blast (if all the blasts hit) does over 13,000 damage… More than any B2 in the game, and more than many ultimates.

Combos that involve reverting to eliminate reload times are teleport escapable. So even if you use Trunks, use his rush, transform and then use the rush again, it’s teleport escapable.

There’s a combo you can do after you land a ground slash that involves multiple teleports. Try everything in the movelist. Use a character with a huge movelist like Gt. Saiyaman. He has every melee move.
If you’re in max power mode, you can do the teleport strikes multiple times, and some characters can do it more than others.

You can adjust difficulty in ultimate battle mode (like you can story mode), but in world tournament it just depends on the level you compete in.

I have aton of match vids recorded, and I’ll try to upload some later this week.

DO IT AND YOU WILL BE MY FAVORITE HUMAN BEING EVER

we seriously need a match video thread for this game over at newchallenger and pretty much youtube has been thus far devoid of really good ones showing how you really play this game…

I’m uploading the footage to my comp… 59 minutes of it total.
Damn… that’s alot. This should occupy people for a LONG time.

oh wow i never thought i would see this on here. i never knew people took this game seriously. im a piccolo and vegeta player.

How many people have this on the Wii? I wanna trade some custom codes.

Alright… here’s some fun matches between me and my cousin.
I’m 1st player, he’s always 2nd.

Our teleport timings always vary between matches… But that’s obviously something we need to work on >_>
Later, my cousin will upload the later half of the matches.

good shit, good shit! thank you very much!:lovin:

EDIT: Sprawlers, i linked your match vids over at newchallenger so people can get a feel for how VS play is, i cannot thank you enough for being probably the first person on youtube with good match vids of this game ( i.e. actual human players and not that CPU ghost tourney stuff ).

Haha, no prob.
Whenever I go his his place, we’ll always upload vids. I’ll probably be spending a good amount of april break at his place, so you can expect a ton of match vids around then.

Good to see someone putting up videos, though I have a few worthless comments…

Take this with a grain of salt as I havnt played the game since it came out and I only watched the vegetto match…

But ah whats the point of all those teleports over and over in sparking mode. I know it looks cool and stuff… But ah… I dunno I guess its just for fun I assume, but personaly I didnt see the point of basicly letting a whole bar go for just teleporting…

Plus umm if you acctualy can get in that mode with vegetto his super move is pretty abusable that I remember. As a matter of fact IIRC in this second game his is one of the few unteleportable/unblockable moves in the game. You can teleport it, but the game will still automaticly make you get hit at certain distances. And then after that you get one free back turn combo before the other guy can “tech” teleport away. So it does big damage. So yea dont see the point really of not going for it if you somehow managed to get into the mode shrug…

Also I dont get some o fthe combos ethier, again maybe just trying to be flashy, but vegetto I thought could get 4 loops and then one something else before the game lets you tech teleport away. Id be more specific but umm id have to play cuz i dont remmeber the buttons. But yea I thought vegetto acctauly gets 4 loops of something before your allowed to tech away. So I know some of those other combos are cooler looking, but the other stuff is gaurented. But maybe just cuz you guys were playing for fun…

Oh well thats my useless post on the videos, again I havnt played in awhile so what do I know I guess. Good job posting up videos though shrug.

Though I guess since im posting in this thread, did anyone with a turbo controler ever try that infinite thing I posted about way back when? With the cancleing of umm something lol I dont even remember. Seems like it would be a infinite if you had fast enough fingers shrug…

Yeah… We were just joking around. That match was a mix of joking around and being serious. We definitely tried to teleport escape each and every attack.

Those moves are extremely hard to teleport dodge because of their speed, but you can always sideways teleport a rush and it won’t hit you. Teleporting backwards does force you to get hit, although you can teleport multiple times. which means you can evade getting hit.

That’s the thing.
Any combo that involves a charge attack can be easily escaped. You can’t teleport escape unless you’re fatigued or stunned by a move like kaikosen. So if we had perfect teleporting skills, and managed to predict each other each and every time, none of us would have exceeded a 10 hit combo… That’s why I win my matches against him: I teleport escape more often.

We played a few matches of me (Tien) vs him (SSj4 Vegeta) and I crushed him pretty easily, because timing teleports against SSj4 Vegeta is so easy. But he had an extremely difficult time teleporting against me because Tien’s charge meter is slower, and much harder to predict. I used some pretty brutal tactics as well (Solar Flare + Neo Tri Beam FTW!). Tien can use neo tri beam without losing health if you equip a potara that negates guard damage, which is really nice.

Also, the Super Perfect Cell vs Kid Buu matches are absolutely perfect examples of me winning because I teleport escaped his attacks way more often he teleport escaped mine. I mixed up my attacks aton too, varying the timing of when I would do them, etc so he wouldn’t teleport them. Mind games are so important, and there’s so many different ways you can manipulate the engine to your advantage.

Has anyone had any luck teleport escaping the really fast but short rushes (i.e final revenger, wolf fang fist, kaioken, etc) when used at very close range?
I haven’t so far.
